dumb move IMO losing a guy like that for a little reason.
The guy wanted a shot at the bigs. They probably told him that they would give him a tryout if he signed back in the summer. Good for him

What's the deal with Frattin? Haven't been able to follow lately. I was just looking at roster projections for the Leafs tomorrow night and didn't see his name when I expected to.

It doesn't seem like he tore it up in camp and this is his last kick at being sent down without being waived I think (57 gp and he can only play 60). He solves a manpower and icetime issue right now.

If he doesn't pout with the Marlies I could see him being back up to stay soon enough. I hate to keep picking on Mac but if Kadri and Komorov play well I wouldn't mind Frattin joining them and MacArthur being moved. Of course I wouldn't mind if the 60 point Mac returned either.

Good statement game for Frattin last night, plus 2, one assist and wins the game in the shootout with a stone cold snipe.

Want to watch a super awkward interview of a nearly hostile Tim Connolly?

http://mapleleafshotstove.com/video/...marlies-debut/

Hooo boy he seems to be taking this well. Hilarious they made him do press with the little club.

Yeah, when he was comparing Hamilton's defence to the New York Rangers, he suddenly realized he was in the AHL. LOL.

Hostile? Looked like a normal interview of a hockey player? About the only thing I saw, Connolly looked distracted.

Yeah I could tell he was a little jittery, probably didn't want to do the interview. Nothing negative really jumped out at me though.

Damn. Ranger out indefinitely with concussion symptoms.

One of Fraser/Holzer will be sent back soon with the return of Gardiner. Both have to clear waivers.....uhg.

I wonder what management will do. It's clear they don't want to lose either of Holzer or Fraser on waivers, but they'll have to expose them. I would think Holzer is higher on the organizational depth chart.

There is quite a bit of options.

Well, if they are NHL ready and the Leafs can't make room for both of them it may be best to try and trade one of them for a less developed asset.

I think it's a no brainer. You either try and trade Holzer, or demote Fraser. Holzer is worth more and apparently teams are interested, reportededly Anaheim was one of the interested teams. So if you can trade him you do. Otherwise you should send Fraser down because there's a better chance he won't get snagged on waivers. Holzer will surely get picked up.

Haven't paid attention at all to the Marlies, didn't even know we lost Aucoin on the waiver wire. That's disappointing.

If NYI sends him back down, do the Leafs get him back automatically or is he placed on the waiver wire again?

Rynnas

Just wondering if any regular marlie watcher had any info on Rynnas's game this year. Looking at his stats, I'd assume he's been amazing but obviously stats don't tell the whole story. So if anyone who's seen him regularly this season had info would be appreciated. He intrigues me as a prospect, as he's massive, younger then scrivens, and from finland who produce goalies like no tomorrow. Think he has a future as a starter?

Didnt think either player had to be placed on waivers? Aucoin was brought up as well as Kostka and had to be placed on waivers, wouldnt Holzer and Fraser be exposed as well if they had to be placed on waivers?

I think Holzer is waiver exempt for three years from his first contract signing so he can go up and down this year(as he hasn't played enough NHL games for the games played trigger). Fraser is vulnerable though but possibly not as interesting to other clubs.
