If we hold onto Colborne his value will continue to fall and we will get nothing for him

Dealing him and a surplus D we might get solid bottom 6 winger who is young big and headed to the Leafs not a career marlie.

This team has looked a bit shaky in goal which is natural given the city they play in but other than that I don't see a lot to criticize so far.

The forwards and defense have been good 5v5. I guess the second criticism would be special teams play. The penalty kill has been average and power play streaky. Hopefully that levels out going forward.

It does, but when you look at the schedule that Lake Erie game doesn't actually exist. Next game is Saturday the 8th.

Yes, the team is finally gelling. But a possible injury to Gardiner may ruin all of it

The guy who hit him, although he left his feet slightly, appeared to let up at the last second. It could have been alot worse.

Yeah, I'm not sure if it was the hit. For all we know at this point during intermission he went to eat some pancakes and pulled his back. Whatever the reason was for him not playing in the 3rd, I hope it isn't serious.

It's Jake Gardiner, not Dustin Penner

Jake Gardiner rested in third period for possible head injury.

You're right, he injured himself while dancing to Biebs.

Hmm, well hopefully it isn't actually a head injury and it ends up just being precautionary.

I would actually much rather have Devane over Ross.

I find Ross useless, he doesn't even agitate.

In that particular game I felt there was no need for an enforcer.

Foligno did some stuff but was at the end of the period and it was nothing really.

Then there was that clean hit on Gardiner, again no reason for an enforcer.

I'm intrigued at what Devane can do in the future, but for this last game there wasn't a need for an enforcer which is what I feel like you are trying to get at.

Not really. If there was a reason for the lackluster performance in the 3rd period, it certainly wasn't due to lack of fisticuffs or grit. Bone head icings, among other things almost coughed this one up. Plus, having an enforcer out there wouldn't have prevented that play from happening resulting in the injury.

I actually thought Ross played really well in today's game, kept it relatively simple, managed to keep up with the pace well and produce chances. Once he gets used to the speed and strength of the AHL I'm sure we'll see him start to put up some points and piss people off just like he was a Winterhawk again. Just playing alongside Kadri instead of Bartschi, and Frattin instead of Rattie

Had the best time at the Marlies game tonight, went with my best friend. Right before the players went onto the ice, Nicolas Deschamps came out and no one acknowledged him so i called him out and he pointed at me and was like, "what's good". It was pretty cool and Matt Frattin came out all hyper and dancy and barked at me when me and my buddy called him. (love his character) Nazem was a ******, he didn't really acknowledge anyone and he looked pissed off. Brad Ross came out and I was like, "Biggest beauty over here, Brad Ross" and he had the biggest smirk on his face aahhhahaa. And then Mark Owuya came out, and i yelled "Mark Indy Park take no for answer" and he couldn't help but laugh and he looked back and shook his blocker in the air, good times
