Bettman and Fehr join the discussions. Is that good or bad?
I'm thinking good as ultimately wouldn't they have to sign off on any deal?

Can't really compare the two. They're dealing with very minor issues this time around compared to then.

I agree with #WEWANTHOCKEY trending. Everyone who uses twitter, tweet it now. Tweet it, tweet it at friends, tweet it at players.

You would need both Bettman and D. Fehr in the room to get it done. Let's ride the wave.

I refuse to think of the second scenario. Damn, I'm so tense.

@ LouisJean_TVA: I can confirm that Ron Burkle (Owner Penguins) played a key role AJD. It is hoped that it's going to bear fruit.

Nothing will happen today. At most one or both sides will say it was a productive meeting in the post-meeting media scrum.

As someone who doesn't ride with the highs or lows of these negotiating days, I would say that Bettman and Fehr joining the meetings could be positive. A deal can't get done without either of these guys in the room. Only speaking based on what I would do if I were an owner or player today, I wouldn't my guy back in the room unless I felt that enough progress was made with the other side where it seemed like a very good possibility that some kind of verbal understanding could be reached that could lead to an official CBA soon after. If it were me, if I had more questions and wanted more time with the owners or players, I absolutely would not agree to have Bettman or Fehr in the room until I was satisfied with the progress made with the other side.

Bettman shouted "I love you!" as the owners went back into the room, in front of all the players. It was super embarrassing.

Considering this was Bettman's idea he would be happy to see it work out well as he can get credit for the success of his meet/greet meetings

Guys, the presser for tomorrow has been scheduled for a while. It's protocol when there is a BoG meeting.
