I don't know enough about the other prospects, to give a credible answer about their rankings or value, but 20 yr old Nino leads Bridgeport in scoring. He's ranked 5th overall among AHL scorers with 13 goals, 14 assists.

His development is back on track.
If Nino is dealt, imo it'll be as a key piece in package, for a major addition to the NYI roster. If Snow wouldn't trade him cheaply when he struggled last season, he has no reason to gift another team with a 20 yr old Nino who's playing well and making an AHL salary now.

26. I got a lot of requests on Sunday for updates on prospects. More of that than anything else. So I emailed two NHL guys who have great AHL eyes and asked them to let me know who they liked. They weren't shy. Both agreed on (NHL team in parenthesis): Nino Niederreiter (NYI), Tomas Tatar (DET), Jason Zucker (MIN), Justin Schultz (EDM), Oliver Ekman-Larsson (PHO), Richard Panik & Tyler Johnson (TB), Jake Gardiner (TOR).

Hatri is coming into his own in the AHL, 19 points and thats without playing with RNH/Eberle a whole bunch

I just think he has a higher upside from watching them play. Nino was lost in NHL last year on a team with terrible coaching, poor veteran leadership and a weak forward core. Connolly was better, but still remarkably unimpressive on a team with good coaching, good leadership and good forwards.

They've been very comparable throughout their careers, however I think if both hit their ceilings Nino will be a more complete player. Feel free to disagree.
