Everyone should keep in mind Zbad played well last night and he still hasn't even filled out his frame. Just wait until that happens, we will have ourselves a real quality player.

He got lucky with a deflection off Emelin.

He's been fantastic all-around, though. Couldn't ask for more at this point.

Is it just me or does Zibanejad look way bigger than he did in his call-up last year? He looked like a scrawny kid before and now he looks big even for an NHL player.

zibby does need to go to faceoff camp though. Unless we turn him into a winger, of course, but if he wants to have any shot at being a full-time center, faceoff camp.

It's weird, because he's been a dominant force in faceoffs in the AHL this season.

I would love to see Zibby and Silf take the same training in the off-season that Turris and Weir had.

Maybe pick a better spot for an "in your face" moment.

May I suggest a goal that isn't a 25 foot slapper that deflects off a defenseman?

NHL centreman are masters at cheating to win the draw. He'll learn the tricks soon enough.

It's as appropriate an example of having finish as it is to say he doesn't after a game where he hits the post. Twice, I think.

You know that one time shot off that play karlsson made will go in the net at times right? He's one of the few players on the roster capable of making those shots. I expect he's gonna make you look a lil silly John. One of the more explosive skaters on the ice

You can suggest anything you want but it won't change how wrong you have been about Zib.

The kid is an NHL player at 19 years old, get use to it.

Zibby was outstanding tonight, one of the first games where he's really shown first round ability. He had maybe three spots where he could have scored, and ended up only finishing the worst of them. He was reminiscent of Hossa (or even 9MM from earlier in the game) when he broke through those two defenders with his strength and speed to earn a half breakaway on Budaj.

Patience is key with Zibanejad; he has the ability, he just needs time to shine. A Mike Fisher type player is not a bad thing to get out of a 1st round pick. Zib may have been our best forward the past two games.

And come on guys, four of you in a row responded to Holmes. You know he's got a knack for riling people up.

I have Holmes on ignore and I think I've seen every one of his posts

10 SEL goals
4 AHL goals
1 NHL goal

This is not a guy that scores a lot. I'm not wrong about that. If you want to whip out the moisturizer & kleenex over a fluke goal that disproves nothing, that's your prerogative.

How many 17/18 year olds produce at the SEL level
How many AHL games has he played healthy
How many NHL games has he played so far.

He did produce in sweden junior leagues against players his own age, how come you dont bring that up?

That play where he uses his speed and size to create that half breakaway was just a taste what to expect, if he was 23-24 that would have been a goal, amazing that hes only 19.

Anze Kopitar scored 8 goals at the SEL level in more games than Mika. He turned out alright. Just being able to play in that league at 17-18 is usually a good indication of high potential.
