Who cares about stats at this point for Kadri.

If he cant make a 5th last placed team theres obviously either something wrong with him, management, or both.

Lets just worry about him having a fulltime position with the big club rather than comparing small sample sizes.

kadri got skills for sure. but imo his work ethics and mental fortitude is worrying. best case for the leafs is to hold on to him and hope he pulls through. no need to trade him for a late first/early second

im actually rooting for the guy.

Where did you this from? I've heard personally from Dallas Eakins & Co. that this is not the case. So once again, care to back this up?

I'd said late first early second. If I had a pick 25+ I'd certainly trade it for Kadri.

With 114 AHL games under his belt now, I certainly hope that nobody thinks Kadri still needs more AHL seasoning. Hopefully, he makes the NHL in a full time capacity once the lockout is resolved (if).

Not a lot of teams would beat that offer for Kadri. It's an offer the Leafs can't possibly refuse right?

Don't want an aging Kipper for our best forward prospect and a 2nd to boot. Just so everyone gets the memo, JFJ's gone now!

Kippers getting old, Leafs aren't in cup contention right now. Might as well hang onto a 22 year old kid who still has a tonne of potential.

He still has plenty of fuel left to get the Leafs into the playoffs for a couple seasons. That's something to think about.

For a couple seasons and then we have nothing. Kadri still has enough fuel in the tank to help the team into the playoffs for 10+ years.

Would never happen, but here's a crazy deal I thought of...

Toronto
Gunnarson
Kadri
1st

St. Louis
Stewart
Rattie/Jaskin
1st

Yes but he doesn't stop pucks. A goaltender is more valuable than a fringe top 6 player.

Personally, I'd venture to say that his value is currently that of a late
first. I prolly would not trade him for a late first (unless it was draft day and somebody we loved slips)...but I wouldn't turn down a top 15 in the 2013 draft.

Keep Kadri and give him a full season playing top-6.

Yes I am. I won't divulge any more information but if a mod wants to confirm, I can go through that process.

Posting in here cause I know there's gotta somebody looking....

If the season is cancelled, when can deals be made? Is there a trade deadline? Or does there have to be a CBA in place still? Are all transactions/trades frozen until its met?

I'm not good at projecting, but the stats line up so far. At age 22, he had basically the exact same career Kadri has right now. And Ribs didn't break a point per game until he was 28 when Morrow broke 30 goals for the first time in his career.

What I'm saying is, if Toronto dogs this kid and ships him out, I think they'll find they let a talented playmaker slip away the same way Ribeiro got dogged out of Montreal.

Just be thankful you didn't draft Scott Glennie. Now there's a bust.
