Looks good, but I have no idea how good a player has to be there to put up numbers like that.

Paid for the stream tonight to see Vats play and got cheerleaders. Money well spent, can't complain...

Is this the Hurricanes rink?

Haven't seen Vatanen since 2nd period. Injury? No PP time?

Interesting to see who get called up for the training camp next week. Happy days now that NHL hockey is back

aggh! calling no way the ads get 2 goals in time. Maybe after the call ups this team will figure out how to not give up short handed goals...

The NHL can't start soon enough. This team is frustrating to watch.

I really hope the Ducks will be like the 2010-2011 team and not last years team. I've been really worried about this, if they are it will certainly hurt our fan base to have sucky-lockout-sucky seasons.

Hiller and Getzlaf will have to be terrific. This seems to be a team in transition.

Yeah, barring some surprisingly solid performances from our young guys, I think we're looking at a pretty high draft pick.

Good year for that at least, and a shortened season means less agony.

If some of our prospects currently with Norfolk have success with the Ducks, I'll be pretty happy with this season regardless of the record.

Same here.

Won't be mad if we get a chance to add Mackinnon, Jones, Drouin, Monahan, Barkov, Lindholm, Shinkaruk, Ristolainen and those are just the guys I see as top 5 talents.

I want to be back in the playoffs, I think if Hiller has a .915% year and Getz can put up a ppg season than we can get in at the 7th/8th seed easily.

If it means that Getzlaf and/or Perry treat the franchise like rats treat a sinking ship then I'll be pretty mad regardless of which of those guys we get.

Yeah I'd say that's my biggest concern if we have a weak year.

I care more about Getzlaf and Perry staying than getting one promising prospect. Getzlaf should be staying considering all things and Perry is a mystery but hopefully he wants to play with his buddy. Ryan talked to both before deciding about continuing in Anaheim and they both convinced him that they were staying long term so I hope they still plan to do that.

Well we don't have much control over the on ice product. If things don't go well we can look at the silver lining of a potential top pick.

This right here.

I wouldn't trade either of them for all of the top 5 picks next year. Picks are a crap shoot and even when they make it they take forever. And hardly any ever become as good as Getz or Perry. And Getz and Perry both easily have 7 or 8 years of prime performance left.

I'm a bit surprised so many of you are expecting so little this season. Why shouldn't we expect some talented young guys to show improvement? Why shouldn't we expect to get back our #1 center? We already have very solid goaltending. I expect this team to make the playoffs. Anything less will be a big disappointment as far as I'm concerned.

If the team is bad then it's probably going to have a lot to do with Getzlaf and Perry's play. If they want to run from that, good riddance.

Absolutely agree. I want Ducks to win every year (this one included) and could care less about picks.

If you're expecting this team to make the playoffs, then you can expect to probably be disappointed. I'm not trying to be too negative, but realistically, we still lack the depth scoring to be a consistent team. We're going to be relying on Teemu(42), Getzlaf, Perry, and Ryan to score every night again unless KP or Holly seriously breakout (I have my doubts).

Defensively, they're fine, but not spectacular. We still don't have a true #1 guy.

Anything can happen in a shortened season, but I don't expect the Ducks to make the playoffs at all.
