I see him as a 3rd liner with hopefully a couple 20-20 season. I do not see him as a 60 point winger at all. The bottom line with DSP is that if he isn't hitting, he just isn't very good. I hope he realizes that by next year and earns a spot on our 4th line
So maybe like a mini-Brian Boyle or a Ryan Jones?

He hasn't watched any of his games lately. Devo has played a part in that teams recent success. I doubt he comes up this year, since there really isn't a spot for him at the moment, but he is definitely making progress.

What would you say his offensive potential is for the NHL?

Thanks for the insight from both posters!

30 to 50 point range gritty winger. I've always seen his ceiling as a bit like Rob Niedermayer's, maybe a little higher in terms of average career production.

I'd like DSP to model himself after Curtis Glencross. I think he is finally getting the message about the way he needs to play. just keep it simple, play north/south, hit guys, crash the net. he's a big kid, but hasn't gotten his man strength yet, i still think he has a bright future but he was getting very close to getting passed by a few guys on the depth chart like McMillan did

How is Mat Clark looking this season? A NHL potential in future?

I haven't seen as many Norfolk games as some posters but he hasn't been great in the games I've seen. I think he tops out as a 6-7 dman in the NHL if he ever makes it on a full time basis.

Can't speak for the last half but he hasn't been very good.

Is there somekind of deal where you get money if you talk positive about Hampus Lindholm? LOL.

How about Vatanen? Guy is a beast.

He's certainly talented, but he's far from a beast. In my opinion, Lindholm projects to be the better defenseman, and I'd be more comfortable giving him a look in the NHL. I think his game will transition to the NHL better, and he has more untapped potential.

What makes you think he's a beast?

Have you ever seen a guy, on his own, stealing sandwitches from a NHL team, in front of them?

Lindholm and Vatanen

I see both of them playing in Norfolk. I agree that Lindholm is the more ready of the two to move up to the next level. Lindholm plays better position defense and his size advantage over Vatanen helps. Lindholm can carry the puck and makes good decisions for the most part. Lindholm also plays with a certain calmness which makes for good passing.

Vatanen takes more chances with his passing and with his speed carries the puck better. He has a higher offensive upside than Lindholm. Needs to work on his defensive positioning since with his size he can't overpower people.

Both I think will be good, just that Lindholm's skillset makes him more ready.

Sarnia Sting got swept out of the 1st round of the OHL playoffs tonight. Get excited Ads (and Ducks) fans. Charlie Sarault is coming your way.

Are any of the injured ducks close to playing again? Admirals are in need of some help they have to finish the season at 80% wins in their remaining games or miss the playoffs.

Bonino's the only injury, and he's still not skating. If he did, I guess you'd get Etem back.

I doubt you'll see anything from our end in the next few weeks, but you should see a few new faces coming up.
