Vatanen Article

Here's an excellent article on Sami Vatanen in the Norfolk newspaper.

Ducks signing Charles Sarault is with AHL Norfolk and will play for Admirals tonight. Sarnia was eliminated in OHL first round.
Please, Ads fans, report the **** out of him tonight. I`m really curious what he can do at the pro level. His offense/defense/faceoffs/strengts/weakneses. All of it.
It will take more than one game to know where he`s at, but you gotta start somewhere.

Go Ads!

Ditto@! Thanks in advance and I hope Sarault gives the Ads that needed offensive burst.

Feel free to give us impressions of everyone else if you have the time and energy. You must be hyped up knowing the Ads need to win to get to the playoffs!

Maroon with a goal!! Now leads the team in points. Making a real strong case to be on the 4th line next year...

Well done Maroon! He's playing so good lately. I think he's got a chip on his shoulder after being sent down. he wants it! Good to see

I think its good for Maroon, rather then always being 4th line bubble player here. Let him dominate in Norfolk. He has the physical but if he can really bring up his offense to a deadly level, he will be a highly valuable player.

Saurault and Bonis

Thought Sarault had a very solid game. Was centering the 4th line and got a lot of pp time. Would go into the dirty areas. He had the primary assist on the game winner. Found Maroon at the opposite post and sent a great pass. Won a fair amount of face offs.

Bonis was signed ftom Ferris State. Seems to have some speed. No glaring mistakes.

Yawney has no problem playing these guys.

Was Sarault out with Maroon because of a line change or was that his line in OT?

Do you imagine him staying on the 4th line or moving up when he better learns the systems (if he can keep producing that is).

It was on the PP. Sarault was playing on the first PP unit

I've only seen the 1st period, but Bonis seems like a solid addition.

Thanks for this report. I`m really curios about that Sarault guy.

But, who are our centers again? Wilson, Wagner and who?

Yes, forgot about them, my bad. Haven`t catched an Ads game for a whil now.

Anyway, here`s the 7 minute highlights:

Nice goal by Wagner and nice move by Sarault in the OT winner.

When the Ad's traded Sexy to Syracuse and picked up Wilson they moved Wagner to the wing and he's played very well there. Centers last night were Mac, Wilson, Pelly and Sarault.

Holy Crap! What a comeback win! I already knew the outcome from the scoreboard, but didn't know how the game went. Thanks for the vid!

When did Mac transition to playing center?

Nice PP goal in OT. Lindholm, Vatanen, Sarault were really moving the puck nicely

We signed him out of the Q to a 3-yr deal on 3/6. He'll turn 21 next month. I think he remained with his junior team.
