collmenter is part of dbacks too. he should be able to bounce back
If I remember correctly he was at the bottom of the priority list last year in terms of getting in the rotation. I'd think they'd use him in the pen for now. Speculation ofcourse.

he was ahead of miley just before start of 2012. he was one of their starters in playoffs back in 2011. he's not anything special but he can eat solid portion of eanings.
Can't believe it took ten posts for someone to note how attractive Amanda is, think we broke some sort of internet law there. Brandon and Amanda are both well worthy of twitter follows for anyone who engages in that social network and doesn't already follow. I don't follow any other professional athletes, but they're both hilarious and good people.

He's gonna be the #6 most likely. Spot starts and good pen work. His pen numbers are quite good, the unorthodox delivery probably helps. I don't think he will ever see 20+ games started in a season again on this team with the pitching prospect depth around here.
D-backs sign Brandon Mccarthy from the A's.....I was pretty convinced he was going to stay in Oakland after the way the org took care of him after he nearly died on the mound, but cant fault a guy who can't stay healthy for a full season for saying yes to a $15.5 M deal for 2 years.

It's not like the A's are missing the pitching to replace him either.

Beane spelled it out in his interview at the winter meetings. He really likes McCarthy and his wife, but he believes the team has depth to fill his spot.
