Seems like an overpay by the Phillies.

Who is Twins CF now?

Also, that sound you hear is Michael Bourn wondering WTF right now.

Like it better for Twins. Pretty good pitching prospect and solid #4 guy in Worley.

In near future probably Twins could be good team again. Diamond, Gibson, May as a starters, good prospects in Benson, Dozier, Arcia, Sano and Hicks.

Twins probably trade for some stopgap or sign some stopgap. We have a bunch of prospects coming up who can play CF, and probably better than revere can. Hicks notably, and also maybe Benson.

Worley on the other hand steps in and becomes a starter for us. Our rotation is in shambles as it is, so this somewhat helps.

Not sure what the Phillies are hoping for with Revere, but as long as he's decent I guess.

Nah we'll sign someone off the scrap heap or trade for someone who has good D at the very least.

Think Rajai Davis esque.

Tanking in 2013, but I'm glad we're getting some good prospects.

No, he showed some solid flashes in the last 2 months of the season.

He plays RF and Revere plays CF.

For the rest of the roster, I wonder what the Phils do. I'm assuming Michael Young will be brought in for the 3B spot. I wonder what they do for LF.

Darren Ruf will get the LF spot, or at least be a platoon. Brown isn't a shoe-in for RF either.

Yes. You're looking at him hopefully scraping up value to maintain starter status at this point. He's not going to be the All-Star caliber player he was projected to be.

I like Worley, hopefully he bounces back as he really struggled this past season but perhaps the elbow issues were to blame. As for May, he had a big year in high A with clearwater but in the several times I saw him in AA this past season he really struggled with giving up the long ball as he gets hurt leaving stuff up high. Lots of talk about him being moved to the pen at some point but if he can get his comand under control then perhaps he stays a starter.

He has all those tools to become that all star caliber player. Problem with him is his defense and power. His defense was much better from 2011 to 2012 and is better than Pence's, but still isnt what i would call average. He also showed a little power towards the end of the season, which he was lacking most of the those two months. He probably has the best plate awareness/discipline on the Phillies already. You can see flashes of why he was rated so highly, I dont think he will ever live up to what he was supposed to be. But being an above average player (which I still think he will become) doesnt mean bust to me.

Love what the Twins are doing this offseason. Realizing they're a couple years away and loading up on high quality prospects. Sano, Buxton, Hicks, Arcia, Gibson, Meyer and now May. Love it, top 5 farm system easily.

I know jack about Revere, so I guess I'm withholding judgement?

Was he leadoff in Minnesota? He looks like a No. 8.

Defensively he's pretty ace. Great instincts and range. Knows where to be at the right time. His arm is weak, but it's improving.

Baserunning he isn't bad. Decent instincts and will steal pretty well.

With regards to his hitting ability. Zero power. He's really just a slap single hitter. IIRC, he had the lowest amount of XBH's in the MLB when played a certain amount of ABs. He doesn't really draw walks.

Essentially your hoping as a hitter he can develop into a guy who gets on base at a decent clip, offers great D and good base running.

And he wasn't leadoff in Minny.

IMO Benson would be good in RF because he has a cannon of an arm.
