LA then Detroit. Then it's a toss-up between Boston and New Jersey.

Don't zetterberg and datsyuk play on a line together a decent amount of time? Philly had giroux, schenn, couturier, briere, and talbot all listed obviously they can't all play c all the time. Up til this point in their careers both staals have primarily always played c.

They are usually centering their own line.

San Jose. They have 2 top 6 centers moved to the wing. That is the definition of depth.

Someone please explain to me how LA has better centers than Detroit?

Datsyuk>>>Kopitar
Zetterberg>>>>Richards

Bottom two lines are basically a wash. Even if the slight edge goes to LA on 3rd and 4th line, still doesn't make up for it.

Recency effect. They won a cup. Same reason that LA has 3x as many votes as Vancouver.

Come on, Datsyuk's not that much better. This isn't 2008 anymore. Datsyuk is a little better than Kopitar offensively, and he's a little better than Kopitar defensively.

Surprised SJ doesn't have more votes, I think they have a pretty good argument here too.

My thoughts too. They have Thornton, Marleau, Pavelski, Couture, Handzus, Moore and Desjardins, that is insane centre depth (they all played a decent amount of centre last year too, though many played a good amount of minutes on the wing as well out of necessity). The Sharks literally have 4 guys who are at least decent #1 centres (Thornton, Marleau, Pavelski and Couture), which is pretty ridiculous.

Some of these lists are a little strange. For instance, I'm quite certain that Elias will move back to LW with Henrique and Zajac both healthy and manning the top two C slots. Also, at least one of Antropov, Little, or Burmistrov will be playing the wing. No way any of those guys plays 4th line. On the other hand, you've left off a ton of natural centers who have been playing wing on teams that have a surplus of center depth (Seguin, Peverley - Boston, Carter - LA, Marleau, Pavelski - SJ).

For the record, I voted for Colorado. Stastny, Duchene, and O'Reilly are all very good centers.

I have to disagree kopitar is the best player of this bunch at this point.
