It's clear when they're talking about MacKinnon, that "the other guy" is Drouin.
Indeed, and I believe when they were talking about the guy who was very skilled, but maybe a bit perimeter oriented, that was Drouin too. When they were bringing up the MacInnis comparison, I think that was Pulock.
I thought that too put when JB pointed out double underrager who is at the top of the Draft that would either be Shinkaruk, Drouin, Monahan, MacKinnon, Lindholm, or Barkov.
MacKinnon, Shinkaruk, Monahan and appartenly Drouin are all gym rats, that only leave Lindholm or Barkov but Lindholm wasent a double underrager I believe. Barkov seems to fit the criteria the best.
But Barkov isn't a perimeter player at all. They already talked about Drouin when they were talking about MacKinnon, and perimeter play seems to fit Shinkaruk the best. Could be Lindholm but like you said, that doesn't fit with the double underager.
Barkov isn't in bad shape either; he's been working out like crazy during the summer. I got the idea they are talking about CHL players as well, but I'm not sure about that.
EDIT: Didn't really get what they meant with "double underager", anyone mind explaining?
Yeah, he didn't seem to be out of shape to me either but he fit the double underager bill.
Could have been the mono, which people seemed to ignore.
Although, if they were only talking about the CHL (which I had forgotten), he's not in the conversation unless they went off course and just started talking about all top players.
Double underager could also mean someone who played at the U-18 or the Ivan Hlinka as a 15 or 16 year old, right?
And they were definitely talking about Drouin a lot. Howson asking the scout if the guy went into traffic and didn't care if he fought or dished out hits was a Drouin question for sure.

Such a random post? Do you ever see Hagg play? He's one of my personal favs in the draft, and have watched a fair amount of him in the last 2yrs... (family being from Sweden.) Hagg is probably one of the top conditioned athlete in this entire draft. Love to know why you brought him up?
This video makes me respect NHL scouts much less. Love Davidson though.
It's an intro meeting (first meeting of the year, just to get everyone introduced to all the prospects) that was posted on their website. Did you really expect them to spill anything worthwhile? For all we know they talked really juicy details, advanced statistics, etc. in the time that was not filmed.
The kid they're talking about being out of shape is old enough to drink at a bar where they (theoretically) are attempting to coax info out of a trainer. That rules all players that aren't on teams in Alberta, Manitoba or Quebec. That knocks it down to 17 teams. Running down Button's list, that leaves Pulock or Shinkaruk.

I don't understand what you mean? I highly doubt it was to be taken literally that the kid was old enough to drink.

I thought they were talking about bringing the trainer to a bar, not the kid.

It would make sense that it was Shinkaruk they were talking about because in the segment before they were talking about a ''pure goal scorer'', so it's possible they were still talking Shinkaruk. It was also later in the afternoon and they started with the Q and the indication was they'd go through the OHL guys next...

They clearly said ''How can you be out of shape at 18''...so it's someone who is already 18...both Pulock and Shinkaruk turned 18 this fall.
And while saying they could take the trainer to the bar... ''he (the prospect) might be there'' while joking...
