No offense, but I believe it is very much a stretch to say that Price is the most valuable goalie in the league.
henrik lundqvist is the best goalie in the NHL right now but hes also 6years older then Price.Carey still has alot of hockey left and thats why i personally think he holds more value.Same thing goes for Miller and Quick did an awesome job with LA but also had a stacked team in front of him and personally dont think hes better then Price
Maybe we would take Markov as a salary dump. Asking for Voracek is ridiculous. We are not in win now mode. We have one of the best and youngest nucleus of players in the league. Voracek being a part of that.

I was just looking at it to where Philly needs D, and Markov was a #1-2 which rarely get traded for a single player who is up and coming and not near his prime and Montreal needs help on the wing. It's a risk with the knee, but he played last year and playing now. Honestly, I thought it was more win now because Philly has gone deep in the playoffs but a lot of that defense is getting well into their 30s as well as Bryz too young either and they should win now to justify his contract. I wasnt trying to break up that core of schenns, couturier, Simmons and of course Giroux. Lastly, Voracek and Markov have closest contract based on team needs to keep both teams under the cap (could be an irrelevant point with CBA)
Voracek for Markov+ lowest 2013 2nd round pick + Darren Dietz + conditional 2014 2nd round pick (If Markov plays less than 50 games/ healthy scratched count as Games played)

Fills a need at 2nd line LW. Czech like Plekanec so a possible chemistry. Young 1-2 punch at LW with Pacioretty.
Markov: If healthy this could be a great deal for the Flyers imo (maybe not a #1D, but really helps your D). If not healthy, 2 2nd round picks and Darren Dietz (maybe not enough ?)
Markov is a borderline broken down player in his 30's, and his contract expires after next year. Jake Voracek is 22, big, skilled, and still getting better. He is going to be a our 1st line RW and is under contract for a good length. We don't need defensemen that bad. You can't possibly talk any rational Flyers fan into this.

he was also a top 15 dman in the NHL two years ago or so. he'll be back. his hockey IQ is through the roof and he insulates Subban. I'd rather keep Markov and keep drafting wingers or sign a UFA.

That's all wonderful. Yet it doesn't change the fact that it's a crappy trade for the Flyers.
Why would the Flyers trade for Price without getting rid of Bryz?
I'd rather have Schenn than Desharnais and I'd rather have Hartnell than Bourque. I'd also rather have Couturier and that 1st over Price, especially if Bryz is still on the roster. As nice as Price is as a trading piece, the Flyers aren't in a place to move so many roster players. They'd be plugging one hole by creating massive ones elsewhere in the lineup.

It doesn't change the fact that it would be a crappy trade for the Habs! We keep Markov, you keep Voracek, we can all be happy. A healthy Markov (and look at how well he is doing in Russia) is an elite defender in this league. Give me Markov over Voracek.
Out of curiosity, what in heck are the Flyers offering in your "deal" that is equivalent to Price? You did notice that Price was the main piece in the deal you are pathetically trying to mock, right??? Oh, you didn't? No worries, go back and fix your obvious mistake.
