Would you care about a 48 game season?

Id care more about a 48 game season now than I will about an 82 game season next year if this lockout doesnt end

I wouldn't show much interest with the season but I wlll watch the playoffs. I just back into these playoffs I took off a year of watching because I got a little bored with it

Voted Yes, but it would feel tainted in some way. Don't get me wrong though...I would still be one happy camper if the NHL was back

Tainted for me. I would still love watching the games, but people under-value the regular season like crazy. A lot more luck involved with only half the season.

If my team wins the Cup, the season is legit. If my team doesn't win the Cup, the season will forever have an asterisk next to it.

I don't get how it would be tainted. Every team plays th esame amount of games and has to go through the same things all other teams do.

Anyway, I'll take any amount of NHL hockey games I can get.

Winning a cup in a shortened season wouldn't be as legit as winning a cup in a normal season but if someone said hey, would you take the Oilers as 2012-13 Stanley Cup champs in a 48 game season I would say yes with no hesitation.

Im currently content with the Junior hockey and the WJC, but yes, I wouldnt miss a Habs game if the lockout ended, if thats what youre asking.

A more compact season would still be very entertaining to me and it wouldn't diminish the postseason, so I'd be fine for it.

That being said, I'm still pissed at the league, so it's going to be at least a year after they come back before they see a nickle of mine again.

I wouldn't mind if anything the playoffs would be more entertaining because players would have more gas in the tank.

Not sure why that would be the case when the playoffs are still the same.

The season is a bit too long as is any way...a 48 game season would just make each game more important, and with all the teams in the same bucket I don't see why it would be any less legit.

I guess the thought is if you get hot you can make the playoffs or a higher seeding than you would in a full season

I was too young to watch, but I've read that the 1994-95 regular season was terrific in that the games had more meaning in the shortened season, and that teams fought like hell for points as a result.

So to answer, yes. God, yes. Bring on the regular-season deathmatch.
