If We Only Get IntraConference Play This Yr What Games Will You Look Forward to Most?

sorry for the awkward grammar in the thread title

assuming that, if we have a season, the games will be intra-conference what is your team, what match-ups are you looking forward to most, and why?

...as a bonus. outside intra-conference play, what other games/match-ups are you looking forward to watching?

Me?

Team:

Intra-conference games I'll look forward to seeing:

#1 (easily #1)

I would say the wings are a bigger hawks rival (just on a team basis) than the canucks - but it's obvious that, as the players go, there's a ton of hate b/w chi/van - and the trolling that goes on this board when the teams play each other is hilarious (maybe not for the mods...but for me!).

#2

i want to see what happens the next time the hawks/yotes play each other. chicago doesn't seem very good for vengeance - and if they were going to address the hit on Hossa they should have done it during the playoffs (which makes me think they won't bother). still, will be an interesting game.

My 1b team is the Leafs...and I like watching them play the Habs...so will look forward to seeing that again.

Non-Hawks (and Leafs)...i'm looking forward to seeing the Pens and Flyers continue to troll each other.

We won't et inter-conferance play. There won't be enough time. It will be all conference and division heavy.

i said "intra" not "inter" conference play...meaning play w/in the conference itself....i.e what games w/in your team's conference are you looking most forward to seeing?

Most of my favorite games are against the Western Conference unfortunately...
Always look forward to watching Blues, Preds, Wings & Canucks. Also to see how a re-match would go against LA.

I guess I look forward to progressing could-be/dwindling rivalries.
Carolina got a lot better, so perhaps that'll become more than just a playoff rivalry.

And games Between New Jersey & Florida were surprisingly fun to watch... I want to see if anything develops there.

Games against the Atlantic do a number on my nerves, so its hard to say I look forward to those.

I'm sure Devils fans would love to get one against the Wild. Particularly at home. We were supposed to play them at home back in mid November. I don't think there will be interconference play if there is a season, but next year I think they should just use the schedule that was supposed to be for this year in a full season. It would save them a lot of time, and all they'd have to do is maybe move some games up a day or down to correspond with the days of the week, whatever.

For some god unknown reason the league likes to schedule us against Colorado twice a year the last couple seasons. Same with Dallas. I'd like to play Nashville, and St Louis more.

Not counting divisional play, some good ones I'm looking forward to as a Bruins fan will be:

Bruins vs. Hurricanes
Bruins vs. Flyers

Lol at how smart you think you are because you put "intra" in the title

I always look forward to seeing the fan fights in the crowd when the blackhawks come to town. We had a great rivalry in the 80's and early 90's, now that both teams have good teams I'm hoping that rivalry gets to what it was.

Did you just call someone out on the internet for using the correct terminology?

Is intra considered some kind of big, unusual prefix now? I see no reason to "lol" at someone for putting a modicum of effort into utilizing the language in their post.

On topic, outside of the normal Ducks, Sharks, and, for the last couple years, Canucks games, I'm also looking forward to seeing how games against Phoenix go. Considering the way the series ended a bit heated, I think it could produce some interesting games. I look forward to games against the Blues as well, although to a lesser extent.

As a Caps fan...
Aside from usual suspects (Flyers, Pens), it's Rangers and Bruins.
Bruins especially, it feels like a lot of bad blood from last year's playoffs.

Division games will be really intense, even more then previous years cause of the shortened schedule. Besides the bruins and leafs, Penguins and Flyers are always fun

Also the Caps, when they visit the Bell Centre I hope Hamrlik gets a standing ovation

Those are the two major ones anyways.

Short season means every game means that much more. Can't pass up division rivalries.

Ignoring all the division games, I'm excited for Rangers-Canes. Staal v. Staal+Staal+Staal (hey, Jared might make it )

Also, Rangers v. Caps and Rangers v. Habs
