Would Brodeur Hit 750 Wins W/O Lockouts?

I moved the thread over hear because I just realized this is a better place to put it. So currently he is sitting at 656, so without half a season in 94-95 and no full lockout in 04-05, also if this a full lockout. Could Brodeur have 750 wins?

He has 656. He's missed 1.5 seasons plus 20 games of this one.

It's safe to say that if this season started he'd have about 8-9 wins at least. In 2004-2005, in his prime, he would've had say 38 and in the games he missed in 94-95, he'd probably have 18 or so more.

This is setting the bar pretty low but that adds up to 64 more wins. That is also on the low side, which would put him at 720.

That is barring no injury and with the belief that the Devils still would've had good seasons in the seasons he missed. It might've been more probable, but he would've had to remain healthy all this time, and I doubt he'd be playing right now at 40/41 if he hadn't missed those seasons.

Say he would have gotten 25 wins for this season and next season. 35 wins in 04-05 which is a very conservative number and 15 wins in 94-95. Thats 100 wins so I say yes but thats without the discussion of those missed seasons adding to his longevity so who the hell knows.

Sadly him getting to the 700 mark is at risk right now with this lockout. Its a shame.

He would be very close.

15 in 94/95 (lockout half season)
40 in 04/05 (lockout full season)
30 in 12/13 (lockout full season)
30 in 13/14 (plays season)

Would actually put him over the top. Voted no (through confusion of 13/14 season being included or not) but should have gone yes. I think it's a confident thing that he would be over 750.

No. You can't just add x amount of wins to his current total and pretend that's reality. Playing those lockout games is wear and tear on his body. If he had played them perhaps he'd be retired by now.

I'd say quite likely.
