Ive read it is 2/12 including a vesting option for a 3rd. It is an over payment but if he can get people out in the 8th I dont care. Because nobody last year on the Phillies sure as hell could.

adams has appeared in 61, 75, 70 games counting back from this year.

i'd say it's a safe bet that option vests.

3 years for a 33 year old guy in the bullpen is not a good signing.

Both are good signings. I've wanted Adams for a while. Lannan would be good for a long bullpin session guy (2 or more innings). Think of a left handed Kendrick, if he doesn't make the rotation that is.

Adams is a good pitcher for sure. Would've liked to have him back in Texas but that's just more than I would've been comfortable giving out.

I like the deals. Adams could fill in from time to time as closer if Paps gets overworked, too. I like where the team is going!
