I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up spending 3 full years in the AHL
Sproul is the ultimate high potential but raw prospect. He'll definitely need some refining in the AHL, most likely the full 3 years before he gets a full time job in Detroit.

Ouellet on the other hand may have a very short time table. Decent NHL size, really polished and a high end prospect. He could even see call ups as early as next year over guys like Almquist

I see a Smith timeframe for Ouellet, except he'll make the jump to the pros a year earlier. But sure, you can never rule out call ups.

Ouellet will probably be like the Filppula plan, strikes me as a guy that once he gets called up he won't go anywhere, he is going to play his way straight onto the team pretty early. I think he will spend one year in the AHL and at some point in year two he will come up and that will be all she wrote on his non-nhl career. The first hickup with injuries and he just isn't going to go back down unless we somehow load the defense ridiculously in the next couple years which would seem impossible. Coaches trust him, he plays a NHL smart game, I think he will take a different track than some of the other guys because of that.

Right now he's definitely an offensive defenceman. Even with his big frame I don't think he will ever be considered a "Shutdown" guy. That being said, from the time he entered the OHL, he defensive game has improved leaps and bounds. He is also learning to use his size more effectively, especially along the boards.

I see Ouellet same way.

Sproul could go the "Smith" route, without this extra lockout half-season.

Jokerit lost 1-3 at home to Tapppara, no points for Pulkkinen. No iFlip (injured), Jokerit had huge trouble breaking Tappara's 1-2-2 trap. Rematch tomorrow in Tampere.

I watched Calle's game, the best his line has looked in a while IMO. He "only" had a goal but created a whole lot more, played 21 mins and they snapped a losing streak.

Marchenko logged 1st pair minutes in their 8-1 win, 21:11 in total (2nd highest for CSKA). No points but was a +1. And it's not like his big minutes were at the end of the game when there were no stakes left, since he played 8:42 in the 1st period. More like they were resting him towards the end; 6:30 in the 2nd and 5:59 in the 3rd.

No points for Bäckman either but he also had top-2 d-man icetime, 22:17 minutes.

So Tatar is expected to make the team?

Nice. Any idea on who he will be playing with?

Jensen scored twice, one for the game winner and the second on the power play. Was 1st star of the game as well.

Marshall also scored, a power play goal that ended up being the game winner in a 5-1 win. 3rd star of the game.

De Haas no points. Coetzee 2+0, +2, 9 SOG and 1st star with Toledo.

Yes.

1 point in 4 games. That came against Halifax. He's +7 in that time frame though.

Still the most underrated prospect Detroit has, along with Nedomlel.
