Sproul is unstoppable. Another nice outing for Paterson, I really like the way he's developing.

Quine has been pointless just 3 times in 12 games since being traded.

Jarnkrok's team lost in SO, so it's a legit race for the last playoff spot now. Calle was involved in a lot of chances but left scoreless and +1.
Backman was out with illness.

No points for Pulkkinen either but him and Jesse Winchester were clearly the best Jokerit players, playing on the same line.

Btw, in the few games I've seen him with Jokerit, Winchester looks like an NHL player. Superb on faceoffs, great skater and along with defense he brings a lot of offensive skill. I wouldn't mind having him center the Wings' 4th line rather than Abby/Emmerton...

Not better than Emmerton or Abdelkader in my opinion. Was never overly impressed with him during his time in Ottawa. He isn't a unknown that slipped away. He has size and some things but it isn't like Ben Eaves where he wasn't given a fair shake in the NHL because of some issue. He just wasn't good enough to keep a spot and might just be better off over in Europe.

Ok, I'm sure you have a better idea of his play in the NHL. I'm just saying if he continues like this, he'll get an other shot in the NHL quite soon. I look at someone like MTL's Nokelainen who is a similar player and was in a similar situation, Winchester is the better player, imo.

But this has nothing to do with the thread so whatever.

Nedolmel -2 inm a 4-5 loss.

Frk was +1 but point streak ended. Mac didn't plat, Drouin seemed to play on a different line. And scored a hattie.

I'll reserve judgment when I see him on NA ice in GR next year. I'm not going on size. I liked what I saw at the WJC and his skating wasn't that bad.

And holy crap, look at McKee's PIM numbers

Imo, best scoring is scoring when it matters the most. In tight games. I would not care less who scored those goals after 2-0.

Pretty much this. I'd like him to finish the season well so he comes with confidence though.

Pulkkinen, a fourth-round draft pick in 2010, is in the first year of a three-year entry-level contract with the Red Wings. Andersson said it’s too early to say whether Red Wings management will bring Pulkkinen to North America next season.

“If he takes off, makes the national team (for the IIHF world championship), all kinds of things can to happen,” he said. “We’ll just wait and see and take it from there.”
This part caught my eye. I actually know someone who's rather close to him and according to them, last year he thought he might be going to GR already for this season.

On the last quote, I think it's very unlikely that he makes the WC.

EDIT. He scored in the first period of tonight's game. He had no goals in 5 previous games.
