Watching Tom Nilsson play right now, at least 3 huge hits from him so far.

Me to, the commentators just talked about him and that he have improved his timing when he makes a big hit. He waits until he have support behind him to cover the ice before he moves out of position to make the hit.

Another year for him before he comes over right?

At least 1 year. He would be a bit undersized for the style he is playing.

He should sign for a SEL team where he will get to play a lot and against better players then in Allsvenskan (2nd tier). Then probably come over after a year or two and adjust to the NA style of hockey in the AHL. He is a project but an interesting one.

How is Colborne doing in the AHL after Kadri, Frattin and Co left? Is he stepping up?

Not to put pressure on the kid, but this kid could be a superstar
Weak help, yet puts up points

Well long as he doesn't visit here we can put as much pressure on him as we want .

Will say my "must get a forward" thinking did dilute the excitement of getting this guy for about 15 minutes. Then it was all getting behind the pick since if we were taking D this pretty much was the guy.

Hopefully he just keeps on getting better. Will be fun to watch.

Also quite the night he's having here.

Also, Garrett Sparks was named OHL goaltender of the month for January:

Quote:
Garret Sparks of the Guelph Storm posted a 7-1-0-0 record in January which included two shutout victories with a league-low goals-against-average of 1.63 along with a save percentage of .940. Sparks returned from Ufa, Russia, and won seven straight games between the pipes for the Storm highlighted by a 24-save shutout on January 18 in a 6-0 win over the Ottawa 67’s, and a 38-save performance as third star on January 26 to blank the Owen Sound Attack 5-0. That shutout was his sixth of the season which not only ties him for the OHL lead, but set a new Storm single season record.
Sparks, a 19-year-old from Elmhurst, Illinois, is playing in his third season with the Storm. Selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the seventh round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Sparks was a member of the gold medal winning Team USA at the 2013 World Junior Championship and carries a 25-9-0-4 record for the Storm with a goals-against-average of 2.52 and save percentage of .921.

Just want him to keep improving his 2 way play, might see him at end of year, marlies or leafs

Leads MJ dmen in +/- with a -1 rating. Other big minute MJ dmen are -11 (Edmundson, traded), -12, -13, -22.

Huge fan of his. Great guy, and he gets it done.

Definitely a legit goalie prospect.

We will see. Seen him plenty, and compared to the other top goalies from the OHL I'm skeptical.

If anything - I will give him that plenty of the time he manages to make saves. Prone to weak goals.

I've been a huge fan of his too, really like him. The two times I've got the chance to see him live this season, he's been perfect - two shutouts. Maybe I should go to every game

I'm the same way, except with Reimer.

The one Marlies game I was at when he was the goalie, shutout (high-fived him after too )

and I went to the Leafs- Penguins game last year when the Leafs won 1-0.

I have never seen Reimer scored on
