I wish we had a proper ECHL affiliate. McKegg and Ross need to be down there getting top minutes like Carrick. I don't want Biggs and Leivo stuck in the same situation next year.
I wouldn't worry about that with Eakins at the helm. He seems to know exactly what to do with young players. I feel confident that our prospects will be developed right.
I just finished watching Biggs play agaisnt Niagra, one of his better games for sure. His first goal was a rebound, he was in good position off to the side of the net and buried it, his goals have a theme to them if you haven't noticed yet. His second goal iced the game as he chipped it by the defender and drove him and the puck into the net lol. He had good positioning on the pk and seems to make the right reads, sometimes i think he is to low on the pk but he had a few key shot blocks. The last minute and a bit of the game only saw the gens ice Biggs, Jenner and Laughton, thats heavy praise from DJ Smith.
Ill be watching Biggs vs Broll tonigt and will give an update either after the game or tomorrow afternoon.
Jon Gillies (Flames goalie prospect) looks GREAT. This kid is HUGE at 6'5, and covers a ton of net. Made some great stops early on for Providence.
Knodel is strong as an ox, by the look of it. Two have tried to hit him, both have bounced off. I like that he doesn't watch the puck, when an opposing forward is coming at him, he's all about watching the eyes and upper body.
Knodel is a -1 so far, as the UNH (Best PK in Hockey East) gave one up on the PK. The commentators were talking about the big role he plays for the team, and that he's a big reason their PK is best in H.E.
His skating looks improved, and he's not afraid to move bodies from the front of the net, as he's shown thus far. This hasn't been a game for his offense, but he's been great positionally, and seems to be more mobile than the last time I got to see him.
Yeah Kitchener winning a statement game over London today, our own Joshua Leivo with a couple of neat primary assists. He had another in the game against Guelph, which was a thing of beauty.
If I had to take a guess Kitchener is the team to beat in the OHL this year.
London Knights are still the best team in the OHL. It was 2-2 today was Kitchener before our own R.Rupert took a match spearing penalty , which gave the Ranger a 5 min PP , which they scored on

He really has trouble controlling himself at times....
Kid needs to learn to use his head.
pretty quiet night for broll, i wish he would stop protecting cousins and let him get beat up, he plays in oshawa once a year and got booed everytime he touched the puck. Biggs was defintely the more active in the offensive zone. Biggs must of had 3 or 4 shot blocks again and looked great on the pk. Assist on Jenners empty netter.
What happened to Al Iafrates son at the NHL Draft? Why wasn't he drafted and where is he playing now?

Well don't they say an acorn doesn't fall far from the tree?

using his big frame to create space and his skating ability to find open lanes to drive the net. He stands 6-3 and is a natural goal scorer with plenty of confidence.
He's a scout's dream in the way he prepares himself and plays an unselfish game, making smart decisions with the puck. With his bloodlines, he certainly understands what it will take to make it at the next level.

ive preached him every game ive watched of him aswell this year, i think hes a 94 so its not a strech that someone takes him this year or he signs during the unrafted window.
