Valerie Nichuskin

Just wanted some feed back on the guy. Moncton recently acquired the first overall euro pick in the CHL draft. Rumours are they using the pick to choose him. Any info would be great. Who can he be compared to. What kind of number do you figure he will put up in the QMJHL..

I think, he's similar to Grigorenko, and would put similar numbers, plays big too. Overall, probably a better player than Grigorenko.

he is, you should watch the U17 tournament in Canada this past winter. Russia has a ton of talented kids born in 95. Nichushkin may be over-hyped, but he is for real.

Is there a danger of him leaving for the CHL?

He is definitely very good prospect. I think he can score 80-85 points in 60 games in CHL. Top 5 material for 2013 draft for sure.

then again this year he didn't really seem to get a lot of opportunities in the MHL unlike some other players from 1995

Compared to Grigorenko he underperformed at U18.

I wouldn't say for sure that he could be better than Grigo. He had an overall bad year, with U17 only being good.

this had a lot to do with great teammates (Dikushin/Tolchinskiy) on the NT

Getting too greedy, I see. There might be better players out there, but none of them have committed to CHL.

Lol. I just wanted to know if they didnt take Nichushkin , who they might surprise us and take.. Is he the clear best choice..or the best choice conisering he will report... Are there better players that are uncertain to report..

If any other top 1995 goes to the CHL it will likely be Tolchinsky. His agent is Larionov.

Yes, he and Nichushkin and the 2 favorites to go first overall in the CHL draft. I have a decent source that tells me Moncton will choose between the 2, I hoping they choose Nichushkin. They both confirmed they will report to any teams that drafts them , making them safe picks.. Moncton owns the #1 and #22 picks in the draft.

I actually made a mistake. Barbashev is a 20 so Moncton wont be taking him. Its between Nichushkin and BARKOV. Aleksandr Barkov is a 1995 that had an excellent year SM-liiga league. He played with the Tappara Tampere and had 16 pts in 32 games as a 15 year old rookie. He is 6 foot 2 , 194lbs.. I think he is a close 2nd behind Nichushkin and hes more a Flynn type player who is responsible in his own end..

I don't see why Barkov would come over... However that would give Nathan M some major competition...

Ivan Barbashev is 20 ??

Is Tolchinsky a goalie ?

Tolchinky's an undersized forward with lights-out talent. Possibly the most skilled '95 in the world.
