If Chara's career ends today, is he in the Hall of Fame?

I came into this thread thinking "probably not yet" .. but actually a lot of the responses have made good enough points in favor that I'd have to say yes

The Hall isn't hard to qualify for if you have decent points/hardware/a Cup/individual trophy.

CHara captained an O6 franchise to a Cup, has a Norris and is pretty likeable.
He'll get in, perhaps not on a first ballot but he will get in.

Is this really a fair measure to look at? Internationally Niedermayer's teams were much better than Chara's. Team factors are also an issue for Stanley Cups...you can make a good argument that Niedermayer was his team's best Dman in only one of those Cup years.
