The first one, is a joke of a hit. The second hit though, he did make first contact with his shoulder to the head, although I don't think it was targeted. Also, Miro did a nice sell job when he let his feet continue to go into the air after the hit and he was down. I think that given those two circumstances, it was a clean hit resulting in no injury and a littl bit of embellishment as well.
Then I guess 5'8" to 6'5" should be the range allowed.
Listen, guys. I'm not actually arguing this. If you believe that Chara shouldn't be blamed because he's tall, then you should take this into consideration. If you don't use that argument, then forget about this maximum height nonsense I bring up.
Chara's allowed to make a hockey play. He shouldn't have to play non-contact just because he's 6'9".
I am against the short people lobby. Tall people have a right to hit too! Short people throw hits and everyone's but a tall guy hits someone and everyone is .
Both hits were fine it was just the size difference really makes those hits.Nothing dirty about them. Satan should know better. Chara's a big guy and he can manhandle people or hit really hard if he wants to but he chooses not to. Most opposing players have said that about him. Chara manhandling someone literally:
At first, I thought the second hit was just fine. I now rewiewed it a couple of times and it seems like Chara could`ve hit him cleanly but choose to use more power by raising through the hit! Just look at the hit a few times slow motion - he actually looks targeting Satans head...
ignore the size difference for a moment and just look at chara himself. on the second hit he does nothing but get in the way and brace for impact. no elbow, no jumping, he didn't reach out in any way to make the hit. satan's head is not out of line with his body, so there is not reason to believe a hit to the head was intentional. both players were moving north-south. i think this should be the criteria for judging the legality or how clean the hit was.
As much as I'd love to b*tch about Chara and say that was dirty, I'm forced to admit both of these hits were perfectly legal and clean. I don't know what's wrong with Satan. I even believe he might have let up the second one a little bit.
