UFAs In Event Of Full Season Lockout

What would the list of UFAs look like if there was a full season lockout.

If it comes to that. I hope Vancouver makes a huge push for a winger, in particular, Perry or Lupul. Iginla is liable to resign with Calgary. Wouldn't mind Jagr though.

Would love to see the Hawks nab Getzlaf. Toews, Getzlaf, Bolland down the middle would be intense.

Never happen, but a fan can dream.

Might be more interesting when you consider the RFA's that could become UFA's if decertification occurs.

I'd like to see the Sabres go after a defenseman in the offseason. Unless Regehr plays better in a shortened season, if there is one, I wonder if they'd try to re-sign him. I'd like to see them pursue Edler and reunite him with Ehrhoff, but I doubt Vancouver lets him get away.

I hope you guys let him walk he's always been a favorite of mine and I see him as a fit in caryle system and as a solid vet to pair with Reilly if he makes the team

List could also become more interesting if there are amnesty buyouts.

What are the chances Brenden Morrow makes it to UFA? I know he's had some injury problems in recent years and had a poor 2010-11 season, but I'd love to have him on the Flyers. Adding some leadership is a need with the probable loss of Pronger and potential loss of Timonen.

Also, I want Gagne back!

Id want The Habs to push for Perry to play with Gally and Patches.

Also sign Saku for 1 year so he can retire a Hab, the way it should be.

if the NHL's proposed CBA goes through, i would think the majority of the good UFA's re-sign with their current teams as they would be able to sign 7 year deals vs max. 5 year deals with other clubs

Not much for superstars in that free agent class, but there's a lot of depth there. Lots of guys there due for huge raises.

Depends on the progression of our prospect goalies such as Hackett and Gustafsson. I wouldn't be surprised if Backstrom signs an extension with us for another year or two, especially with Harding's recent MS diagnosis.

Probably very likely. I was on board with trading him at the deadline (pre-lockout).

Jarome Iginla may want to look at his options.

I imagine he will. This will likely be his final contract and Calgary doesn't appear primed for a Cup run. I still can't rid myself of that nagging fear that Iginla will end up a Bruin in the near future. The Bruins are still in their window of contention and have plenty of assets (in case of trade) and money (UFA signing) to offer.

Bruins are young, though. They will be contending for years. Especially if Chiarelli keeps this up. (insert Jacobs joke here)

Top 4 of Sekera-Myers/Edler-Ehrhoff would be awesome. Then two of McNabb, Pysyk, Leopold, Weber, or another UFA to round it out.

I have a gut feeling that we re-sign Regehr for another year or two and let Leopold walk though. Regehr at least brings physicality and is still solid defensively when he isn't up against a ton of speed. Leopold only brings points that Myers could just put up himself if he didn't have to hang back and cover for Leo's defensive deficiencies.
