I was surprised at how badly Pearson dominated Sotiropoulos. Sot seemed like he might only be a fight or two away from a title shot after the Lauzon fight, but then he took a fight with Siver (which didn't seem to make sense to me from a matchmaking perspective), lost, and it's been all downhill from there.
There's a story/rumor floating around that Sot sucker punched Pearson's assistant boxing coach off camera, and subsequently got knocked out by said coach (this is coming from Pearson though so who knows). So that (perhaps) explains the animosity.
