Another event that would be absolutely doomed in the event of an injury.

UFC doesn't need to put any other fights on a card with GSP. He's one of the biggest draws in the business. And they know that.

I forgot how brutal this card was... Stout v Makdessi should be good.

I wouldn't say this card is brutal at all, lots of interesting fights. Sure it's not stacked with big names after the main and co-main events, but almost every fight should be interesting/exciting. Kind of surprised they didn't inclues Cote/Sakara on the main card though, that should be a barn burner(assuming Cote shows up in better shape than he did against Le).

Agreed. Don't know how they could justify selling it as a PPV without him.

There's a co-main?

Got my tickets a couple days ago. Unfortunately, all of my skull covered Affliction and TapOut shirts are at the dry cleaners so none of the girls in Montreal will know I frate trane UFC. Still should be a good time though...

Lots of interesting fights here, and of course the return of GSP. I'm pumped for this event.

Don't like having Nick Ring vs. Costa Philippou on the main card.

I like that fight way better than the original main card fight Diabate vs Griggs

I think I'd rater see Diabate vs Griggs on the main card. The last Ring fight was bad.

Diabate vs Griggs would have at least been a fun fight. Ring vs Phillipou has boring decision written all over it, and it's not like they're anywhere near contention either. I hope I'm wrong, but there are several fights much more deserving of being on the main card. Whoever decides on the bout order needs to be slapped.

I bought tickets to this on StubHub for $55. Not sure what face value is, but I think tickets start at $90 or so. Can't complain. Figured it should be fun to see. I'm a very casual fan, but it should be a cool experience.

Phillipou has generally put on decent fights, I don't think it will be boring.

Aside from the Hamman knockout he has been average at best in the excitement department. He's not nearly as aggressive on the feet as he should be considering his boxing, and that timidity has resulted in some pretty "meh" decision wins. I don't even consider him a boring fighter, but this match up with Ring just isn't appealing at all and it has no business being on the main card. I hope I end up being wrong though.

Plus Nick Ring isn't exactly the most exciting, and gases bad in the third round.

IMO the UFC does a poor job of choosing price points. I paid 225/seat for tickets that have a 165 face and I think I got a great deal, but they have seats with the same face value as mine that I wouldn't pay $100 for...

I don't mind the card but it's probably my blind patriotism which has me excited for this card.

GSP has his hands full. Fighting Carlos withsuch a long layoff is quite a task.

The entire preliminary card has potential for exciting fights. Interested in seeing if Carmont looks like a terminator again & ring should get a loss before the judges gift him another.

Kampman vs Hendricks is a great co-main. Nobody would have a problem with a koscheck/Ellenburger co-main, guys who recently lost to these 2.

It is, but there's not much other than the main event.

I don't understand the bout order myself, they may be pushing constas & Carmont to a bigger place, who knows.

Bocek/DosAnjos is a ppv worthy fight to me, I could see stout beeing on the ppv portion to be honest. They are both bigger fights in my eyes.

Main Card:
Welterweight Championship Bout: Georges St. Pierre (c) vs Carlos Condit (ic)
Welterweight Bout: Martin Kampmann vs Johny Hendricks
Middleweight Bout: Francis Carmont vs Tom Lawlor
Middleweight Bout: Nick Ring vs Costa Philippou
Featherweight Bout: Mark Hominick vs Pablo Garza

Preliminary Card:
Middleweight Bout: Patrick Cote vs Alessio Sakara
Light Heavyweight Bout: Cyrille Diabate vs Chad Griggs
Lightweight Bout: Mark Bocek vs Rafael dos Anjos
Lightweight Bout: Sam Stout vs John Makdessi (the bull needs to go to 145...)
Featherweight Bout: Antonio Carvalho vs Rodrigo Damm
Welterweight Bout: Matt Riddle vs John Maguire
Bantamweight Bout: Ivan Menjivar vs Azamat Gashimov
Featherweight Bout: Steven Siler vs Darren Elkins
