Spitballing WJC Results - Who Ends Up Where?
1. Who will play in the Gold Medal Match - and who will get Gold/Silver?
2. Who will play in the Bronze Medal Match - and who will get Bronze/4th?
3. What team do you think could well walk away w/ gold and isn't getting enough attention re their threat.
1. Canada/Russia - i think Russia will get gold.
2. Sweden/US...i think US will get bronze.
3. Hard to say...honestly, if the US leaves Russia w/ the gold medal i won't be surprised even for a second. They don't have the depth - but they're elite..esp. at goal and at D. As much as i'm cheering for Canada - Jones could easily wind up as a threat for best D Man and Gibson is pretty terrifying at G when he's on.
I think the final match should be Canada/Russia - but if someone's going to pull an upset i won't be surprised if it's the US.
