Calgary has 5. Could've been six, but Brossoit got the short end of the stick from Team Canada.

Team USA (3): F Johnny Gaudreau, G Jon Gillies, D Patrick Seiloff.
Team Finland (1): C Markus Granlund.
Team Canada (1): D Tyler Wotherspoon.

So much for the cupboards being bare.

Edmonton has four players (I think)

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins
Nail Yakupov
Daniil Zharkov
David Musil

Oscar Klefbom, Martin Gernat, and Tobias Rieder all would've been locks if they weren't injured. Travis Ewanyk would've had a chance of making Team Canada if he wasn't injured.

Its also safe to say that Klef, Gernat and Rieder would of been captains of their respective teams, totaling 6 prospects in all with that title for the Oilers.

Caps got Forsberg (SWE), Djoos(SWE), Barber(USA), Soberg(NOR).

That's 4, with the slight possibility of Wilson being called up for Canada?

The Jackets have:

Canada - Boone Jenner (assuming he's not suspended). Ryan Murray would have been a lock if he wasn't injured.

Sweden - Oscar Dansk

Finland - Joonas Korpisalo

Czech - Lukas Sedlak

USA - Mike Reilly (could be final cut)

Canada
Xavier Ouellet (D)
Jake Paterson (G)
Ryan Sproul (D) - one of the final cuts

Czech Republic
Martin Frk (RW)
Richard Nedomlel (D) - should have been a lock to make it if it weren't for dumb Czech politics

Ducks has half of Sweden and the most important guy on USA.

Sweden: Lindholm, Karlsson, Rakell
USA: Gibson

Could also have Kerdiles on USA but he got cut.

Yes, but it's easy when you're picking 1st overall. The best thing about the Flames prospects? NONE of them were drafted in the first round.

Looks like the Flames have the most (5). Who are those people that say the Flames can't draft again?

Doesn't mean those prospects will make the NHL, though, so it's not a very good way to determine a teams' drafting ability.

Sure, but aside from Gillies (who just got drafted), they're all key contributors for their respective teams. Gaudreau will be a top line player for Team USA, Sieloff and Wotherspoon are both key shutdown d-men, and Granlund is Finland's #1 C.

That tells me these are all very good players!

The Bruins have 5 as well:

Russia: Khokhlachev
Canada: Subban, Hamilton, Camara
USA: Grzelcyk

Kind of crazy that every pick the Bruins have made in rounds 1-3 in the last two drafts is in it (two 1sts, a 2nd, and two 3rds).

Cuts don't count.

And I don't care about Team Germany or Team Latvia's 4th line C or #7 D. Doesn't count.

Just reminding people that you don't need to tank or draft in the top 5 in order to rebuild. You can do it on the fly.

All it takes is some savvy drafting!

Dallas has 3, and probably should have had 3 more.

Brett Ritchie CAN
Emil Molin SWE
Radek Faksa CZE

I don't see why Bystrom and Lindell aren't on their teams, but they'd be fringe players anyway. Matej Stransky should have been a top six forward on the Czech team but he burned bridges when he left his Czech league team so it seems like he's been blacklisted.

But 3 solid prospects anyway.

I would honestly take Reider, Klefbom, Gernat, and Musil; none of whom are high draft picks caused by our tank seasons over any of the flame prospects in the tournament. I didnt expect this to be a stealth anti-oiler thread.

Brodin would have been in the mix for the capitancy.

I wouldn't say that the Flames are "rebuilt" (and neither, for the record, are the Oilers). The entire success of the team revolves around a 36 (?) year old goaltender and to a lesser extent a 36 (?) year old winger. While I completely agree that the Flames have some excellent prospects in this tourney and have made some nice draft choices, they (statisically) would be very lucky if even two of the six prospects that you listed became NHL regualrs for the Flames.

It's not. I think the Oilers have some damn fine prospects in the tournament. Still doesn't change the fact that you got them the easy way. We on the other hand, have actually had to do some drafting.

Wow, congratulations on your two bottom pairing defensemen and back-up goaltender. I've certainly misjudged the Flames prospects.

So three, then?

Two from SJ, Hertl (#1C for Czechs) and Kuraly (#3C for US).
