Before I begin, let me just say that, as opposed to using the actual standings of 2011-2012 or applying the weighted lottery format used to determine the order of selection in the 2005 NHL entry draft, I simply wrote the names of each team on corresponding pieces of paper and drew them one at a time from a hat to determine the drafting spots.
2-Nashville=Barkov (Jones is extremely tempting, but I think Barkov is very close to him in terms of potential and fits their needs better)
4-Calgary=Monahan (scoring ability and two-way play)
8-Anaheim=Ristolainen (no specific weakness, they go BPA)
24-Columbus (Los Angeles)=Compher
26-Columbus (NY Rangers)=De la Rose
I'd feel bad for Morrissey going to one of the teams he grew up (probably still) hating... He's a huge die hard Flames fan.... grew up in Spring Bank just outside of Calgary.... I'm sure that would all change when being drafted.
