I was merely explaining what the previous poster meant by his remark, not necessarily disagreeing.

I think the majority will agree that the German jerseys are the most badass, coolest jerseys.

Austrians would be #2 for me. Very sharp.

Sweden, Canada, and Germany have the best jerseys in my books. The US is fourth.

Not a fan of Slovakia, the Finns, or the Czechs. Russia's is okay.

Yep, I know. It was the 100th anniversary for the IIHF, I think. Each team wore a vintage jersey. The Russian/Soviet one was beautiful as well. Canada dawned the classic 1972 jersey.

Here is Switzerland's

They should have just used the retro jerseys for Halifax/Quebec. Pretty much every one of them was superior to the new ones Nike made up (too bad Belarus didn't really have a historic one to draw from).

They almost made the 1934 Latvia jerseys maroon, then some old guy who played on the team said "I'm pretty sure they were navy", so they changed it, even though they couldn't find any examples to confirm this. Ah, the perils of only having black and white photography.

Do you have a photo of a player wearing it by any chance? I'd be interested in seeing how they look in real life.

I love it, because it's so childish it is awesome.

But I just found my new love, Singapore.

And here is a decent jersey from UAE.

Got to say I really don't like most of Canada's jerseys. The early 1990's ones with the Maple Leaf shadow-type design just looks really busy, and the 2010 Olympic jersey was horrible. Red maple leaf on red jersey was difficult, and there was so much stuff going on in the maple leaf itself that it was impossible to see anything, making all of it redundant.

I do like Lativa, Russia, Czech jerseys though. Germany is also one of the best in international hockey.
