I'll give Nashville one more chance to sign Lombardi and Edmonton one more chance to sign Vermette.
Sign your freaking players people. You've had plenty of times to make offers. Stop lowballing and give them what they want.
ok that is ridiculous, unless they say that they lowballed one offer and couldn't submit a 2nd one they should be UFA's. If they continuously rejected they should be UFA's but if EDM and NSH didn't get enough time to resign them that is fine, but people who have players continuously rejecting there offers and then have them hit free agency and complain they couldn't sign them shouldn't be allowed to give them an offer on July 1, because now it is a guarantee they will resign when they had no intention of doing so before.

Its fine and dandy that we're 3 days AHEAD of schedule but this is what happens when we move TOO fast...ppl dont have enough time to get there offers in...i wouldve been able too but again today it was advance ahead of schedule

ok that's a legitimate reason, I just think it's unfair to everyone else that quality UFA's who didn't want to resign hit the market and then get resigned by the team they didn't want to resign with because they complained to the commish or something.

Don't think I low balled Vermette at all actually. I was expecting him be asking for around 5 mil.... but he only ended up wanting around 3ish so I was more then happy to sign him to that amount. Not sure why it wouldn't have gone through though.

Ill have an offer in tonight at 830 central.
Odds are he doesn't want to play there. Same thing happened with me and Dubinsky.
Does that mean I can send one last offer to him? I suppose it would be worth a shot.

ok you see that is b.s then, if he rejected the offer that's to bad for you. How many offers did you send him? If you sent him 1 then that's fine, but if you sent him more than one that is b.s and he should be a UFA

I sort of agree with this.
Allowing people to resign their UFAs on July 1 is a pretty major advantage. You can drive a hard-line for the opening few resign periods, and if it doesn't work out, the player's disposition is reset for an exclusive bargaining period.
EDIT: But that's as a general position. I'm not sure what the few people's individual situations were here, and it wasn't worth holding up the rest of the league either. Tricky situation.
I had 2 players that flat out refused to sign with my team, after multiple offers and after meeting their demands. They will be hitting Free Agency because that's how the game works.

That is completely understandable...i managed to send him ONE offer and he didnt accept so i said ok no problem since its the last advance at 4PM CST ill make it on time to get home from school and offer him what he wants...what happens it gets advanced before 4PM CST which isnt fair
