I'm very happy with my roster (despite missing the playoffs, I was tied for 6th in the East last season) but I might be willing to move one of Cole, Eller or Purcell if it means an upgrade on speed in my top 6.

Willing to move prospects/picks/most other players aside from the obvious.

Yannick Weber, Mike Komisarek and Steve Eminger are also up for grabs on defence, but I doubt any of them will get much interest.

Offer away!

Still open to offers on Giroux.

Have a couple of nice offers on Marchand.

Main needs are for a two way or offensive top four dman and top six lw.

All this trade talk is fun! With only 34 minutes left you can tell people are anxious. Feels like the real trade deadline lol

realized it could be risky making a move before bumps are made but I suppose the excitement is there

I'd really, really like to know 1) what the cap will actually be, and 2) whether any of my guys are going to retire.

The cap went up $5 mil after season 1 and roughly $2 mil after season 2 and 3. I'm guessing it'll go up another $2 mil or so

It seems to vary between leagues. It went up less here in Yr. 1 than some of the other leagues, but I'm hoping it is a $2 million increase, at least.

My team is so top-heavy cap-wise. Honestly, I'm not sure how I am surviving, but one of these years, there is going to be a reckoning.

It went up $5 mil in Sitwell too. As long as it goes up steadily every year i think i might actually be okay cap-wise, even with constant HUGE raises to all of my guys.

As always, curious to see if Kane goes up again, Toews, Bernier, Leddy, Siemens, McNeil (****ing better go up a ton playing on the 2nd line, getting PP and PK time), Hayes, Kruger, and all of my goalie prospects as well.

20 Minutes!

and have a trade to announce:

Montreal trades John-Michael Liles and a 2015 2nd round pick for Jarome Iginla.

This was a tough deal to sign off on as it was nice having a third pairing of Liles-Komisarek, but this gives me a top line of Pacioretty-Lecavalier-Iginla, Iggy's an upgrade on both Purcell and Wheeler.

Hoping for a little jump from Y Weber, who was not much worse than Liles last season.

Pleasure dealing with ya Hali.

1) Submit it in game in the next 10 minutes

2) What if Iggy retires Jack?

I'd be really surprised if Kane went up. It is hard for 4.5* to get to 90 and stay there. More likely he will stay the same, or drop a point.

If Kreider doesn't go to the lower 80s, I'm going to be fairly pissed. It is bad enough that they gave him 82 speed.

he meant me, my name IRL is Jack.

I'm hoping he doesn't retire until he's 40, if he does retire Hali has kindly offered to send Liles back.

haha I'm sure, I've done a few double checks in Chatzys for Prestige when people refer to a 'Jack' because people there don't know my real name...but then I realize they're talking to you.

really hoping Iggy doesn't retire soon as I'm liking the look of my roster heading into this season, won't miss the playoffs due to a lack of GF. Wheeler as 3rd line RW

I would bet Iggy does retire, FWIW.

(Irony, my name isn't actually Jack. )

well, a 40 year old Jason Arnott did well centering my third line last season, don't see why a 37 year old Jarome Iginla would retire, but we shall see

At minimum, I no longer feel my top-six is overly old:

Umberger (33) - B. Richards (35) - Gaborik (33)
Callahan (30) - M. Richards (30) - R. Nash (30)

I'm not sure of their ages off the top of my head but my top 9 is not old by any means

Pacioretty-Lecavalier-Iginla(or Wheeler if he retires)
Cole-Eller-Purcell
Galchenyuk-White-Wheeler(TBD if Iggy retires)

my d is still pretty nice (IMO) after this trade

Gorges-Subban
Ehrhoff-Despres
Tinordi-Weber
Komisarek

you want to talk due for jumps? Galchenyuk has jumped all of 6 points over 3 seasons, and he was way underrated to begin with IMO. If Galchenyuk gets near 75 I'll be ecstatic (was 66 last season). Despres, Tinordi and Armia could do some interesting things as well
