Im not calling you out. Im not watching the game. But maybe you are the one thats "see things they want to see and not what is actually happening."

Im really just trying to say they may think the exact same thing about your analysis. Food for thought is all im getting at

I apologize if this question doesn't belong in this thread, but who is the best goaltender (of any country) coming into this tournament, and who do you think will perform the best?

Looking pretty good, made some nice outlet passes and defended a 2 on 1 to perfection. Wouldn't be surprised if he makes the team as the 5th defenseman.

John Gibson would be my pick for best goalie.

No it's true, people who before camp who praised/critcized a player tend to continue it irrelevant of actual play, or they overexagerate an action (Good or bad).

Subban, Vasilevski and Gibson for the first question, it's literally a toss up between the three of them for me. Obviously I hope it's Subban that performs the best.

Gibson, Vasilesky and Subban would be three top guys. Dansk could be good, but not even sure if he is playing

I just think its funny that so many people have these pre determined expectations (hes too slow, perimiter guy doesnt goto the corners, hes not strong enough, 1 dimensional etc)

Ive watched the kid for a year now. His biggest strength is his play on the boards and down low. The kid is a magician and he creates offence EVERY shift. Its not like hes padding his stats because of Mackinnon he CREATES offence and is very hard to muscle off the puck once he has possession because of his immaculate puck protection skills. He is the top PK'er on the 3rd best PK team in the league for the people that doubt his defensive awareness. He's even thrown a hit or two

Im not a delouisnal homer though, From day 1 I figured he would be cut and told nextyear, but its becoming hard to overlook his skill. I wish Canada would go with a top 9 and have 1 high energy line.

My hope is that they take Nate, and take Dru as a 13th forward. You can make an easy enough case about it, if nobody gets hurt/****s up he doesnt play, if he gets the oppurtunity it gives new options to spread the offense out over 3 lines. Either way he gets the experience and a feel for the tournament

If he does get cut, I really do hope he makes the NHL next year and HC misses out on their chance because they would rather take a 19 year old whos not as talented.
we saw him make a great play on the board at some point to feed Rattie. I don't think he's afraid either. I think it's just smart on his part not to pretend he's Tom Wilson's size either. Really like what I've seen of Drouin at camp. He might not end up making the team but he's made a good case for himself so far.

Then why make the post in the first place if you're not going to back it up? It seems like a pointless venture. I actually agree with just about everything this board has been saying in regards to todays game.

It's an observation, and look around what happens when someone disagree's with someone else, the response is "What game are you watching? You're wrong." Not sure how you can agree with everything this board has said when there's conflicting opinion.

I really hope Dumba is cut immediately after this game. His backwards skating issues aren't exactly going to disappear in tomorrows game.

I absolutely agree, but its tough to discredit posters (the outragiousness aside). Just because you see one thing doesnt imply what anyone else saw was "wrong".

A perfect example is (im afraid to say his name) corrado. There are posters that didnt give him enough credit, but other posters give him too much. It goes both ways on most players. Especially when you talking about fan opinions.

This announcer has a serious small-town Canada accent. He's awesome at calling out the names though.

If people think Murphy has looked bad, just imagine how much worse it would be if he wasn't paired for two games with arguably the "fifth lock" in Reinhart. Reinhart is very calming out there. I like his poise. Same goes for Pouliot and Corrado, which are easily the best pairing right now. If I had my choice, I wouldn't opt for the PP specialist and have a well rounded guy in that 7th slot. After two games, this is my D lineup:

Rielly - Hamilton
Oulette - Harington
Reinhart - Corrado
Pouliot

The announcer's pronunciations have been keeping me laughing these 2 streams.

That's the point, and my exact reason for not naming specific people/players names. You can't discredit someone in a game you know they're watching because what are you going to say? I'm right you're wrong? It's no argument.

All you can say is what I said, people are exagerating things either in favour or against certain players.

Drouin's looking hard to cut. Though, he likely will be.
