Sportscentre was on a 6 pm EST. That's when Ferraro went full retard on Corrado originally. The red vs white game didn't start until after 9 pm EST.
Maybe he was highlighting Corrado because he's a broadcaster? And he chose to mention a player that many people in the audience would be interested in hearing about? Because he's a Canuck draft pick? And there are many many Canucks fans watching TSN at any given time?
Do you understand what happens when you watch TSN? Their goal is to entertain a percentage of their viewers to the extent that those viewers will not change the station when the commercials start. Or do you think the TSN panel is a pure and unfettered exchange of ideas where intellectuals impart their hockey wisdom to us, unconcerned with earthly things like ratings or ad revenue?
Dumba is a slow skater if he wants to make this team he is going to have to move those feet. On numerous plays i saw the forward skate around him and he just couldn't keep up.

THIS! I have been telling people this for years and no one has believed me

He reminds me of Phaneuf so much. Big hitter, big shot, has a few brain cramps at times. And like you said slow skater.
I'm simply noting how Ferraro, who is a known Canucks fan, was gushing over Corrado and no other prospect before the red and white game even began.
Take what you will from that or nothing at all. Everything here seems to support my claim.

Is it vastly different from what was said on TSN?
Corrado is a good prospect and obviously HC thinks he's good as he was given an invite to camp.
But there are a number of notables who have played better than him this season, as well as during the game last night. Ferraro dedicated a good 5 minutes in two different sections going off on him.

Phaneuf was a much better player than Dumba at this age. Phaneuf was downright dominant... he was/is a much bigger player than Dumba, which makes a big difference. The slow foot speed is much less noticable when you're 6'3 vs when you're 5'11.
Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
Players not playing for Team CAN today vs U of Alta are the guys who are locks to be on the team. That list includes the following:
Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
Huberdeau, RNH, Scheifele, Hudon, Strome, Ritchie, Danault, Jenner up front. Hamilton, Rielly, Harrington and Oullet on D.
In regards to the 7th defenseman, if I'm in charge of selecting the team I fill that spot with an extremely well rounded and balanced player, because it's impossible to predict who might get injured or be called back to their team to attend training camp. You select a well rounded guy because then you're more protected, you want a guy you can potentially slot into a number of different roles.
For me, Corrado or Dumba are that guy. Dynamic, able to play a shutdown game if needed, and also are able to contribute offensively if that is required of them as well.
not seeing reinhart on the roster playing today and has not been announced as a "lock" sitting out? anybody know whats up?
oops bobby mack just tweeted that reinhart is paired with murphy today. Those 2 will probably also make the team, which is maybe why they are together, also maybe to see if reinhart can compliment murphy(clean up after some defense lapses possibly)
