i'm sorry but if the Lawyers for the PA didn't catch any changes before hand then they are stupid as ****, if the NHL did this illegally then they will get punished (but given how PA isn't going to the court you have to wonder if this is another Fehr tactic to brainwash the players)
Seriously, you need to chill.

The players and NHL are meeting RIGHT NOW. Nothing is derailed.

if it weren't for the mediator working a 24 hr day this would have blown up big time.

Don is trying not to come out a loser in this and its showing more by the minute, it was the one dude who kept at it that saved the whole thing till now.

Fehr has already won. He's just piling on at this point.

This CBA was going to be a give back CBA regardless of who negotiated. The players hired Fehr to bleed less.

Fehr has gotten Bettman to move off of at least 4 final offers. And Bill Daly's dying hill.

Fehr's biggest strength is being a polarizing enough figure to take all the heat. For the most part people don't complain about the athletes themselves, they blame Fehr. Just like Bettman takes all the blame for the Owners he is employed by.

i disagree, fehr has not won, he's cost his clients loads of money and might even cost them more if he swings his hammer or disclaimer.

anything they gain now won't be worth what they have lost.

Wouldn't that be his clients lost. He didn't lose anything. Got the NHL to come closer to what he wanted by having them negotiate with themselves. He was able to convince the players the pay they lost would be worth it. When in fact most will never make it up.

Very clear to me that if a deal can be struck by the end of weekend, both sides motivated to start earlier & have at least 50-game season

I think it's officially time to start becoming optimistic.

Depending on if/when a deal is done, NHL has 50-game or 48-game schedules drawn up...

I guess we have one person we can credit and be thankful for when the lockout is over, the mediator.

Shall we take bets on who the first injury goes to? Big name star? Top rookie?

Dang, I'm unbelievably cranky and b****y tonight. Apologies.
