Which NHL player has the highest post-hockey upside?

In other words, who do you think will have the most success in his career after hockey? No particular definition of success here, so go with your own.

Probably someone like crosby who will be known for a long time and he'll get a ton of commercial deals.

Any of the players that went to college.

Scott Gomez will have a tremendous career in impersonations.

You should see him do a 10-year-old's wrist shot.

Bissonette's twitter following will ensure he gets a media job somewhere.

PK Subban. Already has a post-career hockey analyst career locked up.

Yep, very well spoken young man and knowledgeable by the looks of it.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Lupul end up in the media as a hockey analyst either.

Mario Lemieux-If the Penguins had traded their first pick to Montreal i can see him allready whilst playing sucessfully lead the Quebec sovereignty movement to a win in that referendum.

Yup, I agree with this. I saw him doing a couple of segments on TSN and he's got it.

Hartnell seems like he has a good shot. He seems to have a great sense of humor and seems to have a good following on twitter / is involved in a bunch of charities etc

(damn that was hard to post as a ranger fan)

Good call. He's very well-spoken and pretty funny too. I could definitely see him being a successful member of the hockey media after his playing career is over.

I was in Mexico for a week in October and was stopped by an employee while wearing a Jagr Flyers Tshirt. The guys face was all lit up because I knew who Jagr was and liked him

George Parros, majored in economics at Princeton, was named the 4th smartest athlete I believe and has the best mustache in the NHL, how can anyone beat that?

To me, it seems like Lou is preparing to groom Marty to one day follow in his foot steps.
And I think Marty can achieve a lot of the success that Lou did and become a very accomplished GM.

A lot of guys behind recent championship teams have either made note of taking on some of Lou's philosophies or gave them high praise...

Dean Lombardi of the Kings
George Steinbrenner of the Yankees
Jerry Reese of the Giants

So I trust Marty as a disciple of Lou.

Chris Phillips? He recently opened a fairly successful restaurant/brew pub in Ottawa and I'm assuming it'll end up expanding eventually.

Carl Hagelin

There was an article when he signed that he was interning at some high finance Wall St firm. They said they would hire him on the spot after hockey etc.

Michigan education etc

Yep, something like this. Or whoever is going to become a good coach/GM. PK definitely has already locked up a post-hockey career in hockey though.

Chara is a seriously motivated dude. He studies languages and takes finance courses in his spare time, and works out every single day. He has the discipline to be good at anything.

On guy who doesn't get mentioned often is Sundin, apparently he's uber-rich after his investments in Sweden hit major paydirt.

Backes has his pilot's license and went to school for some sort of Engineering, not too sure on the specifics.
