Wow that hit was VERY late. Jenner's going to get tossed.
Yea he either might be suspended or just gone.

Oh from what i've seen sweden seems good IMO. Didn't see the first so I can' comment tbh.

That would be a huge blow.
He caught Peterson admiring his pass and I would have thought A major and a game misconduct would be enough.

They diagnosed the Swede with broken ribs but that was too fast, certainly not having taken X-rays, if they suspend Jenner and he is taken out of the tournement, it would be a real incident, if Peterson came back to play, with just bruised ribs.

In any case we can replace Jenner but he is a good player and a big blow to our line-up.

Looks to me like all the "NHL" players on team Canada think they can win just by showing up. They are all just standing around waiting for something to happen instead of trying to make something happen.

Put MacKinnon on the top line and maybe his effort will rub off on some of the older players.

Is it just me or does TSN have to stop coming up with these "awards". Top 40 Canadian WJC players? Come on.

Not much to chose between these teams today.

Nothing for Leafs' fans to get excited about.

For all the shots at the Bruins pick, I can't say there was much good to say about Rielly. Actually, I don't think he was very good at all.

thought MacKinnon and Drouin were Canada's best players, also thought Rielly was better but wish he would get more involved. **** Hamilton and Binnington was solid. starter for game 1? Oh and I really hope Jenner doesn't get suspended for that thunderous body check he broke the Swede's ribs with. It was about a second late, 5 and a game fine whatever, but buddy needs to not watch his passes. The Canadians would really miss him on the PK, especially in the face-off circle (granted Danault is no slouch but nice to have 2 really good guys on the draw)

i got the USA game on PVR, is it worth watching Barkov rip it up? I taped it initially to watch Biggs but looks like they all played like trash

Jenner finished his check, it wasn't from behind. You hate players that actually do this?

If Peterson got up, it may have been a 2 mins penalty, in the NHL 0 mins but what do you expect from International Hockey.

Really this isn't a tennis match, hockey is a physical sport to most. He just caught a guy sleeping as you correctly surmised. There was nothing dirty about that play from what I saw.

Finished his check way late. The puck was gone quite a bit of time. Jenner was barreling down on him.

An infraction that caused injury and there was no intent to get the puck because it was long gone. It wasn't a hockey play. Easy call to suspend.

How did Leaf draftee Tom Nilsson do for Sweden?

And, by the way, if someone had put Morgan Rielly out with a hit like that, we would all be screaming for a suspension.
