Crimson's McNally two-way defenseman seeking one-way ticket to NHL

Last season, Patrick McNally was one of the top scorers among defenseman in the ECAC. But now the Harvard defenseman looks to round out his game and establish himself as one of the top, two-way defenders in college hockey.

With increasing time on the power-play McNally was able to thrive in the offensive zone last season. He and his power-play partner, Danny Biega, helped create the top collegiate power-play unit in the country. McNally ranked third in points among defenseman in the ECAC. He had 28 points and only trailed Biega (32) and Unionís Mat Bodie (29). McNally was also the runner-up for ECAC Rookie of the Year honors.Ö read more

Apparently according to some investigating by some HF Canuck posters he isn't on Harvard's roster.

hockeydb says he has only played 7 games so far.

Is his removal from Harvard's roster just a temporary thing, the season or is he done for good?

Nobody knows right now.

Canucks board has done some sleuthing but nothing official yet.

It sure is a shame it takes hf posters to notify actual accredited media to these sorts of thinks.

Yeah, I saw this link on eliteprospects.com's confirmed transfers section and that's all I could really find. I guess Harvard is probably pretty tight-lipped on the matter.

Really sucks.

I was looking forward to see how McNally would develop this season.

4 players have been removed from the Harvard roster

Brief article from collegehockeynews.com-

possibly tied to academic improprieties, although it is not clear the reason for the particular players

Yes 3 of the 4 players are heading back to play Juniors. Michalek is in Cedar Rapids right now, Everson is joining Omaha, and Luzar is looking for a team. McNally is too old for the USHL and NAHL.
