The "Where Is Ebs?" World Junior Pool & Draft Thread

WJC draft/pool thread. Epic times.

As is the custom, I will be handcrafting a victory avatar....may or may not be Tron related.

Format Goals (1) Assists (1) Goalie/Team Wins (2) Goalie/Team Shutout (+1) +3 pts for a tourney all-star designation (g, d, d, f, f, f) +3 pts for best player/position award (f, d, g) +3 pts for a goalie/team finals win. +5 pts for new individual record (not the Canadian records....the individual tournament and game records).

This game basically pretends that each national team only has one goalie. Picking Subban, for example, gets you points for all Canadian wins/shutouts, regardless of Subbans starting in net. You also would get award pts if any Canadian goalie gets an award. A 4-shutout goalie can get you 26 pts! On the other hand...a record-breaking forward would probably get you 40.

OR to put it simply...someone will get stuck with Germany in nets.

Roster Players -To find WJC players go to the link below and look under "WJC selection camp rosters" http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=647029 -the WJC forum is also a good place to get info. -players that get injured/cut/scratched can be replaced (When? After the draft but before the start of the tourney).

THE DRAFT The draft order is random. I'll get it from list randomizer at random.org and then there will be a 11 round snake draft. Each GM will choose six forwards, four defencemen, and one country/goalie/team. Things to keep in mind for a fast draft; -make a full/partial list and post it/send it to me/send it to another player -check your pms and pm the next guy/girl in the draft We will probably start soon....but next week/weekend (~December 18th?) I will start trying to get 1 round done per day...so try and get lists of players you want ready for then. Draft part 2 December 18th - round 7 December 19th - round 8 December 20th - round 9 December 21th - round 10 December 22th - round 11 December 23rd - replacement day Teams will be auto picked players of my choosing if they dont send a list or stay active and keep this on track.....under penalty of ....massive sanctions

In short, everyone get lists together to ensure the round is done by the end of the day. If we keep up the pace it shouldnt be a problem.
