He played on the left with Good Canadian Boy Dougie Hamilton™ in the Subway Series as well, didn't he?

Kitchener is fine to me. Looking at their rosters over the last few years, they certainly aren't bad for developement. Skinner, Landeskog, probably Murphy and Morin will all likely make the NHL to at least some degree. I'm not against adding Corrado to the list. Despite the WJC snub, I think he'd instantly be one of the coach's favourites.

If he can cover Murphy's mistakes, he can cover anybody's. good practice.

Conflicting reports so far.

Supposedly some body else vetoed going to Sudbury.

Spott is so bad. I have no clue how anyone chose him to manage an OHL team or pick a world junior team.

Coaching he's ok. Maybe. But as a manager, he's horrendous.

If this deal goes through Kitchener is going to be a bottom feeder for a long time.

Same here... would rather see Corrado go to another team. Even just the thought of having him on a Spott-coached team makes me want to puke.

@SNTonyAmbrogio

Kitchener Rangers have reportedly added #Leafs prospect Josh Leivo and #Canucks prospect Frank Corrado. #OHL

Looks like Corrado is getting a shot at showing Spott exactly why he should've been on the WJC squad.

I hate Spott. I hate Murphy. Therefore, I hate Kitchener. Hopefully Corrado proves Spott wrong...

So Spott has learned from past mistakes... interesting.

There is no such thing as a bottom feeder when you are one of a half dozen teams in the CHL that can get 95% of players you draft to report and regularly get 2-3 guys who will only play for you every draft.

You guys may not like Spott but Kitchener is widely regarded as one of the best developmental teams in the CHL, Sudbary not so much. You guys might have a bad taste in your mouth about Spott but he knows how to develop players, London, Ottawa and to a lesser extent Windsor are the only other teams who get that elite status for developing players. It's a good thing for Corrado.

Well, at least he can admit he made a mistake, right?

(Corrado has more points than Murphy)

Inb4 Corrado is scared s**tless and is inspired to work his rear end off and make the Canucks so he never has Spott as a coach again.

Well I wish he went to Barrie, but it's still a team that should do better in the playoffs.

First Spott cuts Corrado from the WJ team after Corrado significantly outplays all his competition... including Ryan Murphy... thus destroying Corrado's 1 chance at making the WJ team...

Then, Spott trades for Corrado... because somehow all of a sudden Corrado is the one guy Spott needs... thus destroying Corrado's 1 chance at an OHL championship...

Oh, and he won't get any minutes either, because Ryan Murphy is, once again, on the team.

Spott has made it his life mission to sabotage Frankie Corrado.

Ladies and Gentleman, we have a stud prospect in the making!
Actually didn't Hornqvist put up 5 goals in his Rookie Season? He put up 23, but that was his second season.

Hornqvist was a year younger than Jensen in his rookie season IIRC.

I don't think the designation they're talking about is necessarily "as a rookie" but "as a junior age player".

I thought Kitchener was better situated in the standings than they are; oh well, time for Corrado and McEneny to join forces and take them on a long playoff run!

Well, McEneny's point production will go down. Hopefully nobody overlooks the trade for an impending slow second half of the season for him. Likewise, Corrado's point production may go down too, Kitchener can't score worth a damn this season. But, like some better posters have said, stats are not everything.

Looking at their roster, they still need one more addition, if they want to go anywhere.

The 4-5 and the 3-6 matchup in the OHL western conference will be tough series'.

They are either going to end up playing Plymouth (always good, always tough in the playoffs), Guelph (good young team), and Owen Sound (who were already good, and just added significant talent).

I wish there was a cheaper way to watch OHL games.

Well I think the Leivo addition should be a big help for their offence, shouldn't it? Also when is Puempel back I wonder?

(maybe we need an official Kitchener Ranger Memorial Cup run thread? )
