seriously though, Wilson's amazing and they have Bruce Irvin. Can't go wrong picking that team as my bandwagon.
I just have a soft spot for a guy that realized his time at NCSU did him no favors and took a chance by going to Wisconsin.
How is Bruce Irvin doing, anyway? I've watched a few Seahawks games and haven't noticed him in particular. I know he was a fairly specialized player to begin with, an undersized rush DE, so I believe the plan was to play him mostly on 3rd downs...

Exactly what they've been doing. I think he had something like 15 tackles but over half of them were sacks, so that plan did something right. I think he can evolve into an every down guy in about 2-3 years, so long as the wear and tear on him doesn't slow him down. Otherwise he's probably going to be a passing situation specialist that racks up low tackle and surprisingly high sack totals every season.
FWIW, WVU did the same thing with him his first year on campus, and he led the nation in sacks that year.

He was the only reason our teams won any games those two years. Our offensive line was equally as terrible then as it was with Glennon, but Wilson didn't really need a good line to be successful. I'm glad he got a chance to go get big-time exposure somewhere else because I highly doubt he would be in the NFL right now if he stayed at State. Hopefully Dave Doeren and his staff do a much better job at recruiting than O'Brien did.
49ers manhandled the Packers in the first game they met. As a Packer fan, I don't see anything that says they won't again (especially in SF). Physical teams that have a strong defensive front (49ers, Giants, Seahawks) that can bring pressure without a lot of blitzes are teams that the Packers struggle with.
As sketchy as they've been regarding their theological action in the last several years, I can't as a decent Catholic bring myself to root against Notre Dame...

Clemson won, so I can't justify myself changing over to a ND fanboy for this game to spite you. I'll still stick with hopes of a Bama win, but I'm going to regret it if you start going nuts in here.
