I dont hate The Shield getting beat this week, it changes it up. The Shield has looked great since their debut in November.

Read this and I completely forgot about Cena doing something similar with Del Rio...

Quote:
FINAL THOUGHTS: Cena dressing down Ziggler was an eerie reminder to Cena ripping apart Del Rio's gimmick in 2010, which sent Del Rio into a downward spiral as a potential top heel. Not saying the same will happen to Ziggler, but Cena reminding the audience of Ziggler's days as a cheerleader and pandering to insider fans about Ziggler's "push" is something that probably shouldn't be brought up. It felt like an attempt to "light a fire" under Ziggler, which Ziggler's character can withstand and Del Rio's character could not two years ago, but it's another piece of questionable business involving Cena on the mic.

With each passing week, Roman Reigns continues to grow on me. Ambrose and Rollins are awesome and I liked them from before they even debuted, but Roman Reigns is seriously growing on me. The guy has legit main event potential once The Shield is over.

99 percent of the wrestling fans will forget what Cena said. Unless he continues to bring it up. Cena does suck, but I think Ziggler's act is starting to get old.
We will see if Ziggler gets payback or just does nothing but whine about how the show clsed.

Each of them add just a little more to my entertainment value. For instance you bring up Reigns. When Ryback threw Rollins into Reigns on the outside... they could have half-assed it like most roster guys do and be safe. Instead, Reigns goes down and the spot looked tremendous. I can safely say that about all 3. The way Ambrose laid there dead after the RKO really made me believe it. They pulled him out and then he was still "dizzy" and what not. They all sell me on every thing they do. Whether they take a hit or hit someone, it's just so believable.

I think he meant 2011, when they were feuding. I remember during Raw, when they were in Ottawa, where Cena was basically dismantling ADR's character, saying that all of the cars he drives are rentals and that he should "go back to Mexico." Instead of taking him seriously, he treated him like a joke.

In fact CM Punk did the same thing, basically making fun of the way he talked and calling him "boring" which honestly feels like a cardinal sin for making a promo. If all you're doing is knocking a guy down for his skills, without building him up, it's horrible promo-work. Who is honestly going to care about ADR?

Gotta agree here. There has to be some wall where realism doesn't help a promo. ADR was getting stale and Cena should have done a better job getting him over than that. That art is long gone anymore in wrestling. Very few do it well.

Austin was one of the best. He'd beat a guy down verbally but put him over as a heel. He'd get the crowd to hate them in a good way.

I was there live when John Cena tore down Alberto Del Rio. By THAT point, Alberto Del Rio was already boring me to tears, but Cena saying what he said just put the nail in the coffin, IMO. WWE needs to seriously stop having their superstars cut those types of promos. It just kills a character. It's the same way Vince McMahon apparently told Michael Cole to tone it down on commentary because he thought Cole was burying superstars. When you have someone tear down another's character to shreds, it's not good for that character. The fans don't look at them the same.

The "breaking the 4th wall" promo CM Punk did in June 2011 was fine, but then WWE made a habit out of going in and out of kayfabe and it's just not good. Stop it. Even this past Monday, the promo Cena did with Ziggler was eerily similar. It probably won't have the same effect, but Ziggler/AJ being "**** on" won't be the best for them either.

The Rock is now advertised in local ads for January 14, 2013, which is also the 20th Anniversary of Raw.

This brings the Rock's schedule to...

1/7 Raw
1/8 Smackdown
1/14 Raw
1/21 Raw
1/22 Smackdown
1/27 Royal Rumble
1/28 Raw
2/4 Raw (not confirmed)
2/11 Raw (rumored)
2/17 Elimination Chamber
2/18 Raw
4/1 Raw
4/7 WrestleMania 29

He's definitely winning the WWE Championship.

CM Punk has been medically cleared to compete via WWE.com. The TLC Match vs. Ryback on January 7th will take place.

This is incredibly stupid. I know The Shield is likely to run in, but now that makes Hell in a Cell, Survivor Series, TLC and now Raw that Ryback will not win. For WWE trying to build him up as the next big thing, they're doing a terrible job at it.

From what I understand, the only reason Ryback didn't win the championship is because Rock specifically wants to fight Punk at the Rumble and Vince doesn't want to piss him off.
