Imagine if he scored the OT goal in the 2010 finals for a hattrick

I'm a big time Flames fan but it is almost impossible to dislike Eberle because of those performances.

I remember that same day, the Oilers were playing Phoenix because I went to that game. On the jumbotron they were showing parts of that game and when Eberle scored the 2nd time Rexall got super loud and they had to remind us that there was a game going on in front of us. If he scored the hattrick winner in OT he would've been considered a God. So glad this kid plays for the Oil can't wait for his magic in the playoffs. I truly believe that those moments helped shape his career. After the Russia goal he just took off and hasn't looked back since.

I just re-watched the 5.4 second goal and obviously I knew Pierre just ruined the moment, but looking back it was even worse than I thought

It not like Pierre waited before talking about Tavares' magical play, its like he talks about the icing, then immediately goes to Tavares stepping up.

At least Ellis and Boychuk were mentioned in the play by play. Hodgson lifts the Russian defender's stick as he is about to play the puck right before Tavares flicks it to Eberle and got no credit. It truly was a whole line effort and great work on those boards, but yes, Eberle is the finisher and any mention of magic should be his and not Tavares.

In clip three from 2010, at around 1:20 I just noticed the assist coach who was running the forwards was Spott. May he bring us as much offense this year.

Eberles two backhand goals there are why he sustains his "unsustainable" shooting %, his backhand is top 5 in the world. And I believe that truly.

Love how in the third video coach Spott cheers when he scores then slowly calms himself, hopefully more cheering to come this year

It was one of the most storied goals in Canadian international hockey history and Pierre completely butchered it for everyone watching on TV.

He is like the anti-Cuthbert.

Every once in a while you look at hockey stuff and then you see one person that stands out so much you take a double take.. and go oh.. it's Gretzky he doesn't count.

Eberle definately had the greatest moments for sure.

I just couldn't believe Gretzky led the tournament in scoring as 16 year old. That's just wacky. Lindross scored 4 points his 16 year old tournament.. probably the second best canadian to play at 16.. heck maybe the only other?

That's the same way most Oiler fans, including myself, feel about Iginla. Although I hate the Flames, I love Iginla because of his international play.

Spezza, Crosby, Gretz, Lindros and Bouwmeester are I believe the only 16 year olds to represent Canada.

Obviously there you have 3 generation talents, and two other elite talents

Was at SBP for the 5.4 second Eberle goal. Sitting 5 rows behind the Russian net. I've never felt that Canadian before.

When that goal was scored I was working as an usher at the Sarnia Sting's RBC Centre. They were showing that game on the jumbotron during the Sting game, and more people in the crowd were watching that than the game in front of them. Heck, even some players and coaches on the bench were looking up at the tv screen.

When the Sting game ended everyone crowded into one corner of the arena where the Canada-Russia game still had about 3 minutes left in it. In an arena that holds 5000 people, there were probably 1500 of them trying to see a measly 30 inch tv mounted on a wall. I was lucky enough to be front row and have never felt more Canadian than when Eberle scored that goal. My dad always tells me he remembers where he was when Paul Henderson scored his goal in '72. I've got a feeling Eberle's goal will be that for me.
