There would be more players involved in the trade than Dickey and D'Arnaud. They are the principals.
This is gonna be big

You really shouldn't be worried. Dickey has been great the past 3 seasons.
Now, if he doesn't sign. You should be.

Jumped the gun a bit. After reading the thread title I thought it was a done deal, one for one.

Title edited. Went with (player name)+ since the other players in the deal are currently unknown.

Please, we're not getting wheeler.
I'm guessing D'arnaud and maybe Gose for Dickey and Parnell/Davis. Who knows.

I'm thinking much more of the former than the latter.

Not only that but while D'arnaud looks very promising, these older prospects scare me as rarely do you see position players at 28 or whatever he is make their major league debuts and have continued success.

I hope it's a pitcher rather than Gose. Kid is gonna be special.

I kinda doubt anthopolous would give up darnaud and gose but I guess we'll find out, I think it'll be darnaud+ a prospect in our 5-10 range

Wait a sec, D'arnaud is only 23. Why did I think he was much older? Hmm, that could change my opinion but I still think Dickey will be good for Toronto.

Yeah, I just looked it up. I don't know why I thought he was older. Must have been thinking of someone else.

To win a world series. Isn't that every teams goal?

I guess I'd counter with why not? I hope we keep one of Gose or D'arnaud, but even without them our prospect pool still remains strong.

Improving an already deep rotation doesn't seem like the most efficient move, especially since they are expending a valuable trade chip. Clever answer though, I hadn't thought of that.

When your shallow MLB & AAA pitching pool gets exposed like it did last year due to injuries, you start thinking you can always use SP.
