I am kind of expecting this to be a forward versus defenceman preference vote, perhaps Galchenyuk/Yakupov versus Rielly.

Apt. Actually as a Leafs fan, if we had the #1 pick, you just don't pass up on Yakupov even if we're rather full on the wings. BPA.

In hindsight I'm glad the Leafs didn't win the lottery draft because if Rielly was truly their #1 guy he'd get so much flak and pressure for it, it would be terrible.

Anyways, I think Yakupov is clearly the #1 guy, just like I did before the draft.

I wonder if the Worlds will change the results, Yakupov is the choice today, not sure if he would be that clear in say a year from now, 3, 5 years from now.

I would love to see a playoff series of Yakupov vs. Murray or Rielly. Dominant Defenceman almost always shut down star fwds, it would be an interesting match up.

Yakupov is doing very well in the KHL so I still think he goes first but i do think Galchenyuk is a clear second and Rielly third.

Remade top 5:

Edmonton: Yakupov
Columbus: Galchenyuk
Montreal: Rielly
New York I.: Murray
Toronto: Grigorenko

Altruism is just the fear of acting on your true emotions.

As a Habs fan I am taking Galchenyuk first overall based on him being a center over Yakupov. As of right now I have no complex what so ever taking him first overall.

I especially like how these players have had the chance to translate their games to the NHL. Another thing to consider would be the amount of time these players will be taking to reach their respective primes.

Yak's been scoring like a madman in the KHL; Galchenyuk's been racking up points in the OHL; Murray's game is hard to measure via stats and because of his injury; Reinhart is also hard to measure and Rielly's been playing for a pretty bad team...

With all that said, Yak's impressed me the most so far.

I'd go:
Yakupov
Galchenyuk
Murray
Rielly
Reinhart
of those listed

Way too early to do this. Still easily Yakupov in my books. He's playing great in an adult league.
