I own ~10 different scents. Don't limit yourself to just one.

I'm a big fan of anything by Hugo Boss. I currently have the "Hugo" cologne and it is probably my favourite, and every girl I've been with has absolutely loved it, so that's a bonus.

I expected better out of you Rizer. If there is one department where the Hugo Boss cops out -- it is fragrance. Boss Bottled #6 is a classic but everything else is pretty much garbage.

Haha. I like it, and the girls like it too. Everyone has a different sense of smell, and the BOSS lines smell great to me. I have no complaints, and I'm a fan of HB overall.

Few things I've learned, from my own personal observation and others:

- There are very few colognes that smell bad. The One by Dolce & Gabbana opens incredibly putrid before it settles down. Aside from that, everything smells "good".

- If it is a girl you know, you could probably be using Dove soap and if she likes you she will say you smell good. A better gauge of a great scent is getting girls who have no clue who you are stop you and compliment, ask you what you're wearing, etc.

Don't get me wrong, I too love the Boss brand as a whole, but in the fragrance world they are known for infamously releasing a lot of disappointing fragrances compared to similar brands like Armani, Burberry, Tom Ford, etc.

True. I've only smelt a few really putrid ones before, the rest are decent and it is hard to find one that is 'offensive' in smell, really.

Nah. These were girls I was meeting for the first time, and all commented on my smell, asked if I wore cologne etc. Like I said, it's been a pretty big winner overall with girls, but I'm not opposed to trying another brand.

Maybe, but it gets the job done for me. I'd be happy to try something else, it's more a case of 'if it's not broken, don't fix it' right now, but if I find another one that works just as well I'd be happy to give it a try.

If you're willing to drop cash look into Creed, Bond no.9, Tom Ford Private Blend, or Amouage.

The only designer fragrance I've had that could even think of competing in terms of compliments with any of those big guns is Allure Homme Sport by Chanel, but that is stricly a spring / summer scent.

If you like Boss scents, try Chanel. Similar enough to the average person but everything Chanel cranks out for men is gold.

I think my 61-year-old dad uses that!

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll be sure to look them up and remember to give them a try next time I'm out shopping.

Stuff is great. Every time I hug a girl, I get the "Oh, you smell good!" It's a step closer to making them drop their panties. Which is nice.

+++ on the Bond no9. I have 3 of there fragrances.

Another one is l'Artisan and french producer. They have some interesting scents.

Amouage is an interesting case. I didnt think they sold it in canada. Its from Oman in the arabian peninsula but theyve been able to adapt the traditional scents to be cross cultural.

What does Amouage go for in Canada?
