PSG are slight favorites but if Valencia win, it wouldn't be a big upset. Malaga on the other hand should win IMO. I'd be willing to put money on it.

I agree on the first part, but I see Porto as slight favourites. They're always underrated but they have a very nice team.

Galatasary vs Schalke
Celtic vs Juventus
Arsenal vs Bayern Munich
Shakhtar Donetsk vs Borussia Dortmund
AC Milan vs Barcelona
Real Madrid vs Manchester United
Valencia vs Paris St-Germain
FC Porto vs Malaga

Really confident about Real Madrid, Juventus, Dortmund, Malaga, and PSG.

Schalke have been really disappointing in spots where I was hoping they'd shine this year. Similar to Stuttgart. I just have no faith in Galatasaray. Bayern Munich, I feel will get complacent and Arsenal should get some reinforcements in time to hopefully take them out.

Barca/Milan will be the match I'm looking most forward to. Milan aren't what they used to be, but they have what anybody needs to beat Barca.

I know you've gotta hang your hat on something as an Arsenal fan, but Bayern's not getting complacent this year. They're just not ****ing around and I expect them to beat arsenal by at least 3 goals.

Lulz AC draws the giant Shocker

Very surprised we made it outta group though, so I guess we've already overachieved

Very happy that Porto drew Malaga. I think Porto should win, although who knows if they'll sell Rodriguez and/or Moitinho in January.

Well, I'm not someone to ever call a large victory, but I definitely agree with you that the last of my worries is this group getting complacent. Anybody can have a bad day, but these guys have been watching rivals and opponents lift trophies in front of their eyes for the better part of two years now. They will absolutely not get complacent.

I look at the game against Bate, and am left thinking what I'm thinking. They nearly lost a really easy group and could have been pitted against Real Madrid or Barcelona. I just don't think Bayern Munich are on Barca/RM's level. I have no doubt that Borussia Dortmund would embarrass them infront of Europe if the two ended up meeting in the next round.

Really looking forward to February.

That's it? You think because they gave away one game in group stage (which they ended up winning) they will be complacent in the knockout rounds? Calling that a reach is quite the understatement. Nobody is beyond having a bad day.

Okay? No idea what basis there is to believe that we're not on or above Real's level, after quite deservedly beating them in last year's semis - when they were playing better than they do this year, while we were playing worse. There hasn't been any direct competition with Barca, so that's up for everyone's speculation.

Well, they sure as hell didn't come close to embarassing us the last time we met (or the last two times if one wants to count the league super cup). There isn't much between these two teams except for Bayern's consistency in the Bundesliga right now, so it's rather hard to see anyone embarrassing the other.

I'm not trying to argue that Bayern are head and shoulders above Arsenal and will undoubtedly win. I don't think anyone can reasonably deny our role as a slight favourite, but Arsenal can be a very dangerous team and is capable of beating very good teams on their night. What I am saying is that any hope for complacency is misplaced. Bayern isn't used to not winning anything for a few years, and the defeats of the past couple years has resulted in an uncanny dedication to winning this year. If Arsenal are capable of beating us, it will be for a number of reasons, but complacency won't be anywhere near.

Yeah, Dortmund's not playing as well as Bayern this year, one match at Borisov not withstanding. They're just on another level than last year's 3 time runner ups, they're much more ruthless this year, they're much deeper so that they can rotate the squad without losing any firepower (with their best 11 on the pitch they've still got a Mario, Pizarro, Robben, Shaqiri, Luis Gustavo or Javi Martinez and Badstuber or Boateng all on the bench), plus they've got Dante back there organizing the defense so they're not even susceptible to counters and set pieces anymore.

Dammit

My favorite team - Madrid - vs my EPL favorite team - MU

And hoping Feghouli plays well vs PSG

Also, just watched the Footy Show on The Score, and their tactical preview of Madrid - United

Very nice, more interesting than Sportsnet and FoxSoccer "analysts" TBH

A freckled demon, built like a barrel packed with gunpowder is on its way to Madrid to try to blow up the Bernabeu. Wayne Rooney is a football player and hooligan all rolled into one. To look at him you'd think he was one of the 4,000 British fans on the terraces, there to support United: yelling and drinking beer and jumping the queue to get in through Gate D.

They mention Pepe, and within two sentences refer to Rooney as "short-fused".
