Why Vote for

We have arguably the best top 6 forwards in the league, where all six members can score at least 30 goals each, and put up over 70 points each, as well as guys like Gaborik, Nash, and Marleau who can score 35-40 with ease

2. We have one of the best 1-2-3-4 centers in the league with Richards, Staal, Arnott, and Halpern

3. Although our bottom 6 isn't flashy, they get the job done. Our bottom 6 can play physical to wear you down, and can chip in offensively as well

4. We have one of the best top 4 defense in the league, where each pair has an offensive defenseman paired with a defensive shutdown defenseman. Ryan McDonagh and Michael Del Zotto are two of the best young blossoming defensemen ready to top their breakout years last year. The presence of two of the best shutdown defensemen in Staal and Gorges allows the two young guys to roam all over the ice

5. We have te reigning Vezina winner in Lundqvist!

6. Our goaltending tandem is among the best in the league. We have the best goalie in the NHL in Lundqvist and one of the best backups in Biron. Nuff said

7. We feel that we have one of te best, if not the best team in the league and we know we have the team it takes to go all the way to the top!

This should be our roster going into the playoffs, barring any last minute deals. We feel our team is easily a playoff team, and not only that, but a top team in the entire league. We have some of the most clutch players in league. Jordan Eberle, scored the game tying goal in the WJC gold medal game for Canada with only 7 seconds left. Canada went on to win that game, but not without the last minute heroics of Eberle. Henrik Zetterberg, won the stanley cup with Detroit in 2009 AND won the playoff MVP. He had 27 points in 22 games. Patrick Sharp went point per game with Chicago while winning the Stanley cup in 2010. In 2007 Andy McDonald won the Stanley cup with Anaheim while scoring 10 goals along with a couple assists. Our roster is the DEFINITION of clutch. Our offence doesn't only produce points, but we have some of the best defensive forwards in the game in guys like Sharp and Zetterberg. These are guys that can be leaders. We have a perfect mix of veterans and young guys who are all very capable of playing at a high tier. The young guys have the drive and the veterans show them the way. We have a great duo of goaltenders in Halak and Elliot. They will split games so they always play at their best, which is exactly what they did last season and have shown that they mesh very well. Brian Elliot played 40-some games last season and had a .940 save percentage. If he plays at that tier in the playoffs he is unbeatable. We have the perfect mix of puck movers on defence. Smid is a very good, young, defensively minded defenseman who should give Shattenkirk more room to play freely. Tyutin and Nikitin are both very familiar with each others playing styles as they played in Columbus together, they should mesh very easily. Tyutin is used to playing top 2 minutes so playing 2nd pairing minutes against lesser competition should give him an advantage.

This is not only a team that will win this season, this is a team that will win for years to come. The young guys have drive to win that beloved stanley cup and earn better contracts and the veterans have the drive to show people that, maybe they're getting older compared to the rest of the guys on the roster, but they can still play just as well as they can. This is a two dimensional team that will thrive under the coaching system of coach of the year winner Ken Hitchcock. The St. Louis Blues is a winning team and we are in a position to be showing other teams exactly that.

So without further adieu, here is your 2012-2013 Carolina Hurricanes!

2012-2013 Line up

Taylor Pyatt - Mike Rupp - Jared Boll
Tim Brent - Cody Hodgson - Tim Wallace
Artem Anisimov - Derek Stepan - Jeff Skinner
Teemu Hartikainen - Jeremy Welsh - Tomas Holmstrom

Andrew Alberts - Michal Rozsival
Jay Harrison - Jeff Schultz
Justin Faulk - Jamie McBain

Jeff D.-Deslauriers
Justin Peters

We are TERRIBLE! Andrew Alberts on the first unit, the hell?? Mike Rupp shouldering the offensive load, you gotta be kidding me! And how does Tomas Holmstrom ($9.500) have a higher cap hit then Sidney Crosby?? This team is truly awful, and you should vote them last. Dead last! It would be an insult to the 29 other GMs if they weren't!

But don't fret Carolina fans! Help is on the horizon! After one more year of honing their craft in juniors, our young bevy of talent should be ready for full time duty. Our projected roster would look a little something like this...

Your 2013-2014 Carolina Hurricanes!

do not, I repeat do not encourage sandbagging and playing possum to upgrade draft position, as it is Stephan, skinner on the 3rd line will produce so much that if you don't play them on the 1st line instead of the 3rd there will be a hurricane and barrage of garbage thrown at by fans (in true Gary Bettman hatred fashion) that you will be concussed like A Cindy and wake up finding your team in the usual tween-er position. Karma is a beeeeech.

Skinner and Stepan need to become solid 2 way players thus, third line duty will help them polish their defensive game and help them become better overall players

Say what you will, but maybe I'd rather not put too much pressure on my youth by throwing them all into the NHL where they will compete against another level of competition. Confidence is an easy thing to lose, and break. What you call 'playing possum' some would call patience and development.

When I took over the Senators yesterday I had one goal in mind and that was to get peices for the future. I was able to add a top prospect in Ryan Johansen and 2 young imcoming defensemen in Nuck Leddy and Alexei Emelin. We aren't expecting to come near the playoffs so Vote for us to be near last place

I love that offense. It is the best if not one of the best in the league forsure. The Defense isn't that bad at all. It has 4 top 4 defensemen and on the bottom pairing there is 2 defensive defensemen

Arguably he could be. He's definitely a solid 2nd pairing guy though. Paired with Bieksa he's not out of place on the 1st pairing.

I'm sorry but that really isn't true. You may very well have the best third line in the league but there are several teams in both conferences that have just as good of a top 6 if not better. They might not have as good of a third line but to say it's not even close is really overrating your offense.

Year in year out the Sedins line is the best 1st line in hockey.

My 3rd line is also the best 3rd line.

And my 2nd line is definitely one of the best.

I'm not trying to piss anyone off but everyone else makes claims about their team so I did about mine too

We believe this is a good team that has a chance to go all the way. Backstrom is a great goalie and extremely underrated. Jiggy can provide a starter and veteran prescence when needed. On the D we have a incredible top pairing of Kronwall-Suter and a great second pair in Volchenkov-Johnson. All can be argued they were their teams top D-man last year. Gilbert is a puck moving D-man suitable for the top 4 who we have playing bottom pairing minutes. MAB and Spurgeon are both strong two-way depth guys. Our offense is dynamic. On the first line we have Parise one of the best players in the league both offensively and defensively. Centered by a easy 70 pt. player in Koivu who is incredible defensively. And Vrbata who had 65 pts. And 35 goals playing with guys like Hanzal. Imagine what he can do with Koivu and Parise. On the 2nd line we have Filpula a 66 pt. player who is only trending upwards. Setoguchi who had a rough year but is still a suitable top 6 forward and Jokinen a 50-60 pt player. Brodziak is one of the best 3rd line centers in the league and Pouliot can provide defensive awareness + scoring( we have all seen his highlight reel goals!) Mitchell was great on the Sharks last year as a two-way player. Konopka is amazing at faceoffs and can hit, grind, and chip in offense. Powe is a sole defensive player and is one of the best pure shutdown guys in the league. Kassian is a enforcer who can intimidate other players.

Indeed, although I'd personally put Spurgeon ahead of Bergeron, easily!

Thanks guys. I was thinking of doing that, but figured MAB had more experience. I think I will put Spurgeon up.

In a way, it doesn't matter much. Bergeron will play 3 games and get injured for the season, so Spurgeon will be right there anyways
